And she still will NOT eat more than perhaps a Many'rd of the wet glop, wasteful miu man.

Then, at night, she destroys stuff on the kitchen countertop while looking for something tasty, bad miu man.

Cat T-B. likes to go out into back yard in the morning, inspect the proceedings miu man.

However, next-door neighbors leave their cat out pretty much all day, second miu man.

Neighbor miu comes into our yard, intrusive miu man.

In fact, neighbor miu chased Cat T-B. back into our casa, nearly came in too miu man.

Indoor  cats are in the most dangerous position. They are targets as outdoor cats claim all territory and indoor cats are the intruder. Your kitty cannot keep any yard claimed or protected. Well unless you get a dog to stand by her :P

Keep your kitty cat indoors unless you can make her a pretty little cat patio.

I would love to be able to build a catio for our indoor kittehs-that was always one of our plans for when we'd buy a place eventually-I guess that's not happenening now either-sorry Colby & Cheddar!

The cats are keeping me sane, thank heavens for them.

I'm trying to do stuff(organising/housework/paperwork etc) but I keep running short on steam & sitting down.....still small progress is progress somewhat & I'll find some momentum at some point I imagine. The not falling asleep until very late at night isn't helping but I'm resigned to it being how it is for a time & doing what I can(valerian tea) on the occassions when I can bear to take myself to bed at a proper time-it's not always that easy but I have found making myself a 'nest' out of all the pillows & watching Bob Ross helps too.

I've not got a cat  issue, I've had a dog issue.  Neighbors who are still in jail, and their left behind pit bull.  There used to be two pit bulls living there, but one was given away as being too aggressive it seems. No laws and no animal control in the county. Sheriff's dept that made all the arrests didn't want to know, and there are  no dog shelters or humane societies up here.  The sheriff offered his advice, which was if it is a nuisance, I have the right to defend my property and shoot it. Now it isn't the dogs fault his owners are crims, and he has been left to fend for himself.

While getting the mail the other day, Himself  had a talk with the nearest neighbor, who turns out to be the local preacher. He has been feeding the dog, and it has been hanging about his place with his other dogs. The relationship is a bit touchy, the drug house dog has been in several pretty nasty fights with the dogs the preacher guy has.  It appears that this particular dog was not the ring leader though, so they seem to be getting on, at least not fighting all the time.

He has spoken to the woman in jail, it seems he visits the jail a couple of times a week. She asked him to keep an eye  on the dog, and he has been. So I guess I can stop feeding it as well :D

He doesn't think she will be out before Christmas, but she may not come back here at all. Her father owns the house, and pretty much all of the land around it and us. He offered us the entire 10 acres in June on first refusal, which I did not want. He offered it to the preacher as well in July, and he  has bought an acre next to his house. The rest is going to a farmer living down the road. Things may be looking up after all, not to tempt the ####### gods.
