TO be Minnesotan!

Well, you're Canadian, so that is practically the same thing.

We were up in Winnipeg again this past Sunday. I got a Manitoba Starbucks mug.  For those new, I collect them (and so does Asia).

I was the only one dressed up at our work meeting this morning.  My coworkers need an injection of joy de vivre.

I used to be a curmudgeon about Halloween, especially at the office or in other social situations, blowing off wearing any costume. But La Colombiana really gets into it and her enthusiasm has knocked the out of my apathy so I get a costume every year now. The thing is, it's just not that difficult to come up with an idea for a costume, nor all that expensive. Over the last 3 years I've been Sherlock Holmes, Freddy Krueger and Indiana Jones. Was easy peasy assembling the ensembles.

Oooh Awesome. Minneapolis can be a really fun city.  I see Winnipeg is moving in that direction, too. So much new construction.

I think, especially in my field, that you have to find joy in things... and make life fun. Otherwise why live?

Anniversary din-din complete, ingest we & she & wee man.

Good for you Tbone.  I have a personal issue with people playing on phones etc while at restaurants.  I can see looking up an item while in discussion with other people but not everyone playing with their phones.  Also kids can use things like crayons or toys if they're bored.  We had things and conversations before phones.  I'd rather sit in silence than yank out a phone at the table.

Hi folks, thought I'd pop in to say hello to you all & see how everyone's doing these days?

I'm struggling along, halways in a daze most often, just the same I have managed to pass my driving test here.....& I'm about to buy back my husband's car.....I tracked it down to a dealer in Indiana so I'm off to get it on Wednesday-they're holding it for me until then....

I have my USCIS interview on Nov 14th, bloody attorney STILL unsure exactly what will happen but has spoken to a staff member there who is sympathetic to my situation & is requesting she be in charge of my case.
In the meantime I've been advised to prep with updated family affidavits etc so I'm including letters from doctors etc & photos from our courthouse wedding & from our time in the hospital.
I've never known such pain as I'm going through-I attended a family wedding last week & I surprised myself with how well I dealt with being there but fell completely apart afterwards.

Normally for Halloween I goto my friends Halloween party so this year just feels so entirely alien from all I know.

Anyways...hi.

Oh -- we forgot to mention a detail from before anniversary din-din, forgot it we man.

We took the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile to the din-din, chauffeur we she & wee man.

Of course, the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile had nearly zero gas in it, emergency situation man.

It was necessary to gas it at the closest, vs. the cheapest, station, grrrrr man.

We are kicking ourself, because she had one-Many'rd of a gallon left, kick we we man.

This was plenty adequate to reach cheapest station, grrrr and :bonk: man.

Before GS-ing, we took Mini-B. to the kids' activity at Home Despot, bachelor outing we + wee man.

We got there right at Many a.m., advertised start-time man.

The HD staff weren't nearly ready, no man.

We have never seen such flailing incompetence there, no and grrr and :bonk: man.

They finally got their act together by half-of-half past Many a.m., long line of parents/kids by then man.

Project was somewhat more difficult than usual, frustrating man.

It took us nearly an hour to complete, other parents struggling too man.

Furthermore, we think that we hurt our back during the completion process, awkward sitting/bending man.

Furthermore, Mama T-B. was waiting to dote on Mini-B., senior she dote on wee man.

We were dazed during the visit, probably hurt ourself man.

At end of GS itinerary, we were near Costco and offered to Mrs. T-B. that we go, volunteer we man.

Place was an insane, cacophanous madhouse, any weekend man.

We most definitely hurt ourself carrying our boxed stuff into the casa, ouch man.

Tonight = Heap Strong Medicine if it will indeed help, doubtful we man.
