Calculate???? why not just look at the gauge??? It's a very simple concept. When it's on the F it means you don't need to get gas. When it's on the E it means you do need to buy gas and when the light is on and the  bell is dinging it means if you don't want to walk (die of heat stroke or freeze to death) it means drive yo a** to the nearest gas station now. Calculate. Sniffff, smh.

I can't speak to why Tbone calculates it. But the Hillbilly does it so he can watch how many miles certain gas station's gas actually gives him per mile. For me too much work and if he wants to waste precious time doing it then he can fill the tank.

I think if I had things set up right it would show up on one the screen next to the speedometer. Not that it matters even with insane California gas prices (seriously, most expensive in the non-Alaska/Hawaii US by far); casa-DA is about a mile from office-DA and local grocery vendor, and the Dave-mobile is a hybrid, so if we're being our normally selves who don't get out much (as opposed to meeting family or friends or playing tourist here in town or dealing with government paperwork that you have to do in person) I can go two months on a tank of gas.

And meanwhile I’m over here driving 30 miles one way just to get groceries.  The Dane and I also work about the same distance away from home. Glug glug on the gas. I can’t even imagine caring about the minute differences in gas stations, though.

Just as easy to keep the top half of the tank full as it is to keep the bottom half full.

Have the bedroom empty, finally. Camping in the lounge for the moment. I have the ceiling painted in there, and I hope to get the walls done tomorrow. New bed frame arrives tomorrow, and the mattress the day after. The house looks as though its been stirred by a stick.

Back to the Vet today. Every time the meds run out, a few weeks later the dog's staph infection comes back. Trying something new, by injection twice a week. Her meds are getting spendy, poor thing.  I think she thought we were going to leave her there again, she got under my chair and stayed put.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Slightly more civilized than running out of gas.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone here do that. You know what happens when you run out of gas and it is -10 or -20°F? You die. You know what happens if it is 30° and you try and walk along the icy road 15 miles to the gas station? You die.

I'm just bummed because my snow tires aren't on yet.  I do know have a company issued bomber hat, so I should be all good.

My tires wont be in until Monday. I didnt bother with winters and bought good all seasons.  We will see if I grt stuck this year.

My all seasons are my summer tires.

Now the forecast is up to 8 inches. I'm going to see how inconvenient it would be to extend my stay in the same room for another night, given that the company is paying for the first 4.  I have absolutely no interest in driving in whiteout conditions, which is exactly what it'll be with that much fresh snow and high winds.

At least this hotel has a proper workout room.

We celebrated my middle nephew's Many'th birthday and my Many-rd  birthday, cause that's what we do in Manytober

What you do in Manytober is to order more than one pre-owned toilet seat in celebration, oj tak.

Poland is so backward that they have no POTSs, must order and fit to Polish toilets man.
