You want to post a picture of your other ones? I have this sneaking suspicion that they are meant to only draw out the proper dose, so don't have any other lines.

 

I see Niki replied as LPOP right before me, she'd be more the expert....I know more about people ones.

 

Side note: I finally got to use an actual epi-pen the other day.

I always imagine using an epi-pen to be equivalent to the scene in Pulp Fiction where Uma Thurman is in some drug induced coma and John Travolta stabs her in the heart with a long adrenalin filled syringe. I'm guessing in real life it's probably not quite that dramatic.

I think you also have the answer as to why miu was groggy after injection. I kinda suspected we had too much insulin.  But I am not a vet or a vet tech and can only attempt to guess. I work front desk and cannot give medical advice. 

Im rather disappointed in your vet clinic right now. Next time find an aaha accredited one if possible.

Was with a tinier needle given to us by pharmacist to enable any shootings at all, gifted we man.

We stopped in this morning and caucused with check-in guy, sympathetic he man.

Scheduled miu for a re-visit tomorrow morning, bring we miu man.

Vet was in surgeries, slice/dice she man.

Dude was briefly able to caucus with vet between slicings, caucus they man.

Vet wants foto of litter box, not possible man.

Vet wants miu poop sample, abundantly easy to provide man.

Hoping for callback from vet after surgeries, earful from we to she man.

 

Clinic is a corporate outfit, not VCA but another such man.

Part of our problem is that vet works only half the week but retains control over case, sigh man.

Insulin needles are tiny, when the bevel is turned right (facing up) it goes in smoother and less pain. Plus injections should go in a fatty spot. Most of the time they are more annoyed that you are interrupting them.

 

What size are you needing? I used these for allergy shots.

It's better this way.  I wasnt really enjoying it there, just hoping it would work out.  At 3 months in I considered leaving and I should've.

@TBoneTX I love you to pieces.... but I agree with whoever said “get a second opinion”. I have had horrible experiences with some vets (I spent $4000 in a year because a reputable vet recommended my dogs have surgery)

 I sincerely wish you and your family and your cat the best.....

Never got promised callback from vet, irked we man.

We had Many completely valid questions, si man.

We wonder about the value of bringing in miu for uncertain diagnoses/procedures, no clue man.

Can just bring the pupu sample instead, collected man.

Upon reflection, request for foto of litterbox = off-the-wall & insulting, won't comply man.

Risk that we'll explode at them regardless, about fed up with them man.
