Plenty of hugs and pray both parents are able to stay peaceful and co-parent well once things settle.

Kiddo was that age when her dad and I split.  I was just there for her a lot and we were able to co-parent.  We still have arguments about things, but her best interests has always been at the bottom of both of our hearts.  That was part of why we split.  I was tired of arguing in front of my kid.  I remember what that felt like growing up.  I try to make a conscientious effort to not bad mouth her father, even now when she's 16. 

I agree that this is the main thing, the it's not your fault.

Co-parenting if possible. 

Being peaceful around your child and showing them that this is better. 

As much equal time as possible.

On Saturday, we bought Many (2+2) new tyres for the T-B.-mobile, about time man.

Mini-B. accompanied us to the tyre shop, wee with we doing "guy stuff" man.

 

Our tyres are Landsail 22Many/ManyZR1Many, precise size man.

Treadwear / traction / temperature ratings Many00 A A, high-quality man.

Normal price each is $Many, but tyre guy gave them to us for $Many, $Many ($2x2x2+2) discount per tyre man.

He also gave us $Many ($2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2+1) for our two old tyres that were still good, credit man.

Total drive-out price was $Many ($2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2 + 2x2x2x2x2x2x2 - 2x2x2-1), steal man.

Price included tyres, mounting, balancing, valve stems, all-inclusive man.

 

Shop assigns one Mexican per tyre, efficient man.

We were there for exactly Many (2x2x2x2-2) -- yes, only Many (2x2x2x2-2) -- minutes, speedy man.

This was from drive-in to drive-away, including payment, nothing like it man.

 

Mini-B. was highly impressed with the entire tyre procedure, observant wee man.

He noted the goop smeared on the tyres during mounting, observe wee man.

He noted the numbers on the balancing machine, observe wee man.

He asked why metal was nailed to the tyres after the spinning, explain balance we to wee man.

He enjoyed the speed & noise of the electric drills during the installation, impressed wee man.

 

Shop had a baby rooster wandering the grounds, first of that age we'd seen man.

We asked owner what its name was, cognomen of rooster man.

Owner said, "He doesn't have a name," no man.

We said, "Then let's call him 'Gallito,'" baby rooster in Spanish man.

Owner grinned, got it first try man.

 

After tyre experience, we gassed the T-B.-mobile, more "guy stuff" man.

Mini-B. punched all the buttons on the pump display, knowledgeable wee man.

He even muted the irritating "Gas Station TV" commercials, grateful we man.

 

After this, we went for ice cream at Baskin-Robbins, celebrate we & wee man.

Mini-B. had a lemon custard cone, first choice by wee man.

A good experience was had by all, "guy stuff" man.

Met exiting tenants at the rental casa for final walkthrough, bye man.

They left the r-casa in magnificent condition, impressed we man.

 

Went on errands & ES-ing, see above for latter man.

Went to buy tyres, see above man.

Went to Baskin-Robbins, see above man.

 

Returned to casa and mowed entire lawn, midafternoon during heat of day man.

Had been mostly cloudy with breeze most of day, propitious for mowing man.

However, and as expected, cloudless/breezeless during entire mowing, sweat we man.

We died and did not recover, bye we man.

However, post-hurricane grass growth now subdued, worth it man.

 

Got partially restorative nap after mowing, dead we man.

Subdued two laundry loads & dished the warsher, finished earlier than usual man.

I'm pleasantly surprised that my current boss has exceeded my initial expectations of him. It was one of those deals where he ticks some of the boxes on the potential to be a bad boss.

 

Big ego - check

Short (possible Napoleon complex) - check

Career ladder climber - check

 

But he's turned out to really support me in ways that I appreciate. Number one, he has my back with the vendors I have to manage (contracts from 100k to 40m). Some of them do end runs around me when they don't like various communications from me. The boss never undercuts me in those situations. Two, although he has a reputation of being inflexible, he comes to me to ask my ideas on various tactics and strategies. Finally, he works his ### off. No one in the organization works harder.

 

I can truly say that I'm happier at this point in my life than at times in the past. Not having the stress of a bad boss is playing a part.
