That Itch You Can't Rant About (The Rant Thread)

Electrician turned up at 0945. Sill at it at 1800.. But I have got a wall and and outside light again. The dog has coped well with the racket, better than I have. The most annoying thing is the door standing open most of the day. Every bug in creation will have found the way in here.

Now I will go and write a very large cheque.  That's what I am giving myself for my birthday this year...electricity.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Righteous rant of the weekend...

I'm on my normal weekend run this morning, I'm tired having run about 6 miles but I'm on the home stretch of the last 2 miles. It's 9:00 AM and still relatively cool - low 70's. Some 25-ish yr old guy pops out of his neighborhood, just slightly behind me as I cross to his side of the street. So he goes zooming by me. No biggie. But then he takes off his shirt to show the whole world his glorious torso. Leave the dang shirt on already. I detest guys of any age or shape that feel the need to take off their shirt for anything other than swimming. I don't care if you're 25 and buff, 40 with a pot belly, 50 and buff but with pasty white skin and lesions, or a 60 year old dude with a saggy chest re-living your glory years. No one wants to see you without your shirt.  If you want to do it in the privacy or your own home, I have no problem, just not out in public.

By the way, I'm an infrequent gym goer - maybe once every 2 months. I don't recall guys removing their shirts in a gym. This seems more like an outdoor running/cycling/whatever activity. Do gyms require guys to keep their shirts on?

Rant done.

Weird rant but okay.

Zero issues with people without shirts. Mens/womens/kids/peoples.   Don't wanna wear a shirt? You shouldn't have to when outdoors.  Let it hang.

Gym require shirts.  Some gyms require women to wear shirts even if they have a sports bra on.  Whatevers.

Husband takes his off outside because he gets back acne and the sun helps.  He used to go tanning for this reason but stopped.

Do you really want an answer?

lmao

Waiting on my paints to show up.  Bought myself some bob ross paints.  YAY!

I may go get my ears pierced.. again... the original holes from when i was 8 are just too high and not well placed.

Had a great drive today, beyond redlining my car.  Turns out it just cuts power when I hit 7k. lmao.  Shifted gears and off we went again.  Passed 3 cars at a time.  Had I not redlined I wouldn't have cut the pass so close

Oh painting, sounds fun!

I got my ears pierced around that age. Had to redo them when I was 21. I think there is an argument to be made about waiting until you stop growing.

The fierce erranding referenced above bears referencing, see man.

We arose at o'dark-Many because Mini-B. had a dentist caucus* at Many a.m., opening time man.

*2 big cavities and 1 small one, Many man

We got there when Mini-B. was in the chair but nothing had started yet, seat and no man.

Mini-B. was given nitrous oxide but did nothing to qualify for AFV, too bad man.

He was very good indeed, proud we of wee man.

We then embarked solo, intrepid we man.

We took the mongo-heavy box of out-cleared books to Half-Price Books, sell we man.

Chica took thicker & hardback books, $Many ($2x2x2x2-2) worth man.

Went to bank, unannounced we man.

Employees hastily scrambled to find & unfurl red carpet and to genuflect deely, grovel they man.

Eventually went to a second HPB, sell we man.

Chica took surprising number of remaining books, $Many ($2+2+1) worth man.

Went to favorite resale shop, visit we man.

Donated remaining Many (2x2x2x2+2+2) books + 2 bags full of our out-cleaned clothes, donate we man.

Nothing in store to buy, exhausted-by-now-anyway we man.

Didn't want to, but did, visit Mexican supermarket/gas station/dry-cleaner, out-wiped we man.

Returned to casa, showered, & napped-with-cat like a dead thing, exhausted we man.

We still have our headache, Mrs. T-B. probably sinus + fatigue man.

Heap Strong Medicine tonight, self-nuke we man.

It was like a right of passage. You're old enough to look after yourself now.  The new holes are close to the old ones, but they're supposed to be better aligned (old ones I couldn't wear hoops, they stuck outwards) and more symmetrical.  The right was was better than the left.  I assumed he would pierce way down into the lobe so I was surprised at the location. Aftercare has certainly changed!
