05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Gassed the Mrs.-T-B.-mobile tonight, helpful we man.

By our cipherin', we calculate that there was less than one ounce of gas left, all-time record man.

 

Fortunately, we made it to the gas station where we get Many (2+2+1) cents off per gallon if we use the station's credit card, pleased we man.

LOL clearly a misspell BUT a toasty culo is welcome in the winter. I shall take a heated one! Does it come with any gadgets like the Japanese ones?

Ohhh, sexy car! Vroom, vroom! We had a Camaro and I loved driving it. Dudes would see me get out of it and some would give me the why-is-she driving-it? look. Mwuahaha LOVED IT.

I think I'm able to retire in about 10yrs. Man this 28 yrs just flew by hahahaha

Yes we did. We're thinking about custom license plates that say "peaches"

 

Frenchy is used to those sissy French cars that weigh 900 lbs, and have a sewing machine for an engine. And the horn goes "meep meep"...

 

There's no way "Peaches" is not already taken, in every state.

I’m surprised at the custom plates I see in ND. Peaches might be a possibility.
