Well, well, well... Hello, hello, hello!

After a year of dedicating my life to Mini-C and enjoying life, I've decided to go back to work.

I started a new job a month ago and I'm super happy. Mini-C was not so happy and rebelled a little... all of a sudden, he was scared of the drain in the tub and refused to take a bath. Thankfully,  that didn't last long 😬

We are building a pool and it's been hot AF, so hopefully we'll get to enjoy it soon.

Hope y'all are doing great! I see new faces!! /wave Hola!

Thrilling Tuesday report, see man:

Spent day furiously selling pre-owned toilet seats, buy yours today man,

We alternately fought gridlock & drove like an illegitimate male child to retrieve cat, we retrieve miu man.

Miu's glucose curve all over the map, no logic to it man.

Vet never called us and had left for the day by the time we arrived, grrrr man.

We are apparently supposed to shoot miu 2x/day for Many (2+2+2) -- yes, MANY (2+2+2) -- months and then return, ouch we & miu man.

Fed miu din-din, ingest ravenous miu man.

Decided to mow front lawn, tired-yet-industrious we man.

Decided to mow heavy many'rd of back yard, grows fast in shade man.

Ended up mowing entire lawn, sweaty we man.

Read Mini-B. a quick story from Jack & Jill magazine of Manyvember 1ManyMany1, predates us man.

Dished the warsher, too much silverware man.

Purged Many of Mini-B.'s books from downstairs bookcase, Mrs. T-B.'s demand man.

No nap for us this eve, obviously man.

We will be hosed on Wed., hosed-to-be we man.

Must leave casa early because of planned power-outage, hopefully robust repairs this time man.

You really need to switch vets. That is just not acceptable.

Yeah he's better off going to a human doctor

At this point they would probably do better than the vet.

I'm worried about how the littlest will do without mommy around. He's been doing better at drop in daycare and I haven't heard anything about screaming. Buuuuut, he hasn't been there for more than 5 hours, and  full day is a lot harder than a short stretch.

I had been working part time, but have had the last month off. I'm supposed to start a new job in less than 2 weeks. However, it is making me anxious. So, I signed an offer letter, did all the background checks and drug/disease tests, and now I'm just waiting. The orientation is at the headquarters in a different city and they pay for a hotel, but.... I've heard not a peep about the details. I'll call next week if I still haven't heard anything.

I'd also really like to know my schedule for next month to know what days the Dane needs to take off or if we need childcare.  It is full time, but there are some 24 hour shifts included in that.  :clock:

$137 RT to San Diego! Hot dam! Time for another honeymoon with La Colombiana in October. (We've had multiple honeymoons because the first one originally planned got squashed by an immigration official in Costa Rica.)

Hey Steve, can I borrow a suitcase?

To say that I did not have any anxiety going back to work it would be a lie. Since we moved last year, Mini was going to daycare twice a week for socialization and to allow me to do some things that are better taken care of without children (i.e getting a mammography). Mini has been SUPER attached to me and I was very anxious about daycare even if he was going to keep going to the same place he had been going for the past year.

I started sending him for the full week, a week before I actually started working. I was dropping him off at a time when his teacher was there and he was OK, however, the drop off time once I started the job was going to be an hour prior to her arrival.... Tears.. lots of tears and MAMAAAAAAAAASSS. It didn't help that the teacher who received him in the morning, doesn't normally "deal" with 3 year-old kids and was not very helpful.

All in all, it took him a week to get into the rhythm of things.  We've been tear free for almost 2 weeks and it's been such a relief for me. The guilt has gone down a few notches and balance is being restored. I truly needed to start working. This past winter was brutal and you probably know the feeling better than me (not being able to be outside, turning into the entertainer for the little ones, etc, etc). So, this too shall pass, mama! That's what I kept telling myself, even when he refused to take a bath and screamed bloody murder.

I hope you find out what your schedule will be soon. I'm sure that preparing for that structure will give you more peace of mind too. Best wishes on the new job! 🤗

I'm glad to hear that is moving along more smoothly.

I'd actually prefer to stay home, when I'm working things don't get done like they should: weeding, painting, keeping things orderly, cooking, etc.

I know, I'm such a planner. It is a good and a bad thing.

------

I tried to wash my car in one of the self service bays in town. I even bought some bug dissolver, a new bug sponge, and used the chamois. Although more of the bugs are gone than when I use the automatic car wash, the car looks, ummmm, bad?  I suck at washing cars.   Then, I tried a clay bar on a test area which still had some bug on the front bumper. It is smooth, but still looks like a mess. I think it might have taken off the paint splatter, but it scratched the paint. My paint is so hyper sensitive.  I hate this car.  Hopefully when I get my first paycheck, I will just pay to have the whole car wet sanded while the lawsuit is pending. I'm done.

KC is the FO, but STL is the USCIS designated office for bio-metrics. Either way it's 3 1/2 hrs up and 3 1/2 hrs back. Sucks.

Same here. We  had to go to TN.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Internet is back. Chap could not work out why we were told the 30th. In fact he was less that a mile from us yesterday and could have come then.

Insurance people also have been. Everything fried will have to be replaced. I hope they still make laundry gear that isn't wif-fi enabled. Joke. I hope.

Electrician will be back of Friday to finish up, and put the wall and ceiling back where it was.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
