Is it me or the forum has been "slow" lately?

There used to be juicy stories and lively conversations, but all I stumble upon now, are threads with questions that could be easily solved by using Google or actually reading the instructions of forms.

I feel like there are less "educated" people on the general forums lately. Whether that is because they've found a community on FB or reddit or aren't interested, I don't know.

I swear there are some people that follow you around purposefully to point out any errors they may find. #####  the upper forums.

I agree on this one... it led me to drop out totally for about 6 months as I was tired of the pedantic correctness that I was getting on anything I posted 😖

Admittedly i am a bit of a pedantic person.  But constantly correcting people on forums isn't worth my time.

Me too. There’s a huge difference between correcting a significant error and letting through  something that really isn’t exactly the full explanation but doesn’t impact the answer !

I’m seeing way more new posters who want everyone else to do all the work for them and take none of the responsibility themselves. Having said that I owe an apology to @Ontarkie  cos I still haven’t got used to checking the forum of each post I look at and moving it if needed .. highly irresponsible of me I know ! 🤪. Carelessly posting and having someone else follow me around correcting  the forum !

I do that at times too.

Insurance chap coming tomorrow. Seems I no longer have a washer and dryer either.  Of course I didn't work that out until the machine had filled, and wouldn't do anything else. So I rung it out and put it on the clothesline.

No internet at all most of the afternoon, and net-light now. I have reached the giddy limit with this week 😕

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

What are you talking about? Correcting people on a public forum is empowering and makes you feel almighty.
