So, the knuckle dog, he got a shot in da butt on Saturday. By Sunday, his butt was sore. He's acting like he's gonna die, limping around looking for pity. Gotta be hand fed food and water, carried outside to doodle. The girls are treating him like he's in ICU....What a sissified tweety bird...

Oh no, why is that??

It's just what we do in this thread. We tell people to go back to where they came from. It's habit, reflexes. Go read post 1.

<sigh> people from New Zealand have no sense of humor...

I have some long lost relatives in Wellington. And, I'm not about to look them up. They'll probably try to borrow my suitcases. And, they probably have no sense of humor...

So I was up at like 6. Drink some coffee. Decided to get in the office early. I get in, there's like 5 people here, I get hit with like 30 things. Now I don't feel like doing ####...

Speaking of ####, I've had so much #### going on since the big guy left, that I've been taking off every chance I get. And still it's not enough. Man I got other #### to do...

Thank you, I probably should have looked into that more but I’ve reached a point where I’ve gotten so fed up and will just pay the $230 for an extra bag. I’m really weak and can’t see myself juggling so many boxes without humiliation entailing. Also lamenting the fact that I won’t be able to take my extensive Stephen King collection with me... 🥺 Picking out a few and the rest will stay behind, I guess.

I used  one of those big luggage trollies when we moved. I had my wee daughter with me, so I think we had 4 suitcases, a bicycle, and a bicycle trailer.  You might have to ask for one specially at the airport, but they exist.

Had less on the way back, even though I had the Dane with me. Chinese bicycles are dirt cheap in America, but carry a hefty tariff in Denmark, so I sold it.

You probably won't care too much about the books in the future.  I still have 12 boxes of books unpacked from last year. I've had far too much going on to even remember which books are in them.

Have you tried the KonMari method for your clothes? It saves a lot of space.

Yeah, I did a KonMari-esque approach with rolling and folding so smaller items can stand vertically if that makes sense. I also needed to do a lot of joy sparking to decide what stuff made the cut lol!

Just do what my wife's friends and family do. Borrow a suitcase, for a one way trip...

Back when I took a one-way flight to California in 2001 (pre-9/11), I managed to acquire two of the cheapest wheeled duffel bags I could find for the trip. Basically carried all the clothes I owned in two checked bags and a carry on (which airlines other than Southwest let you have with no additional fees back in the day) ...

Electronic books weigh nothing and take up no space. Important packing tip for bibliophiles, man.
