We have out-figured that our partially-tolerable-back days occur when we have taken Heap Strong Medicine at previous bedtime, induce we man.

However, this is exactly what we were doing before getting shot, whoopee man, and it is not a sustainable practice, no man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

So I after watching Yellowstone last night (Great show and everybody needs to watch it) I decided to act like a horse and let my 2 year old get on my back. We were going all around the house and she just had a blast..... That was until I stubbed my toe and had to stop. I stubbed it so hard that the nail came off.

And, what's that new red coats name...jib, she must be vacationing her brains out in Canada...

Jib!? JIB!! It's Fip, if you don't mind. Yeah, I've been vacationing my brains out as you so charmingly put it. Back home now and back to some semblance of reality.

Thanks. I'm just disappointed in her because I thought her to be much more responsible. I just don't understand how anyone can find themselves in this situation with all the available birth control these days.

It happens.

I got pregnant 3 times while I was on the pill because I was super fertile. No birth control is 100% effective. In the end my old man had the snip. Job done.

You're probably in shock. I'd play the role of non-committal step-mom. Early pregnancy is a roller coaster and what's needed is a steadying influence when emotions are high. Doesn't mean you have to approve or agree with decisions being made, just keep it to yourself or rant here.

In any case, I had my first when I was 21.  I think Ontarkie and NLR were younger moms too.

23 is pushing the envelope in my part of the Midwest for the first baby. You are practically elderly by that point.

There's a lot to be said for being a younger parent. You have so much more energy and recover better from sleep deprivation and running around after little ones.

I had a miscarriage before I had my daughter at 26, then a couple more in between my son and daughter. I had my son at 32. The difference physically between having a newborn at 26 and at 32 was really noticeable. I was exhausted after having my son and I had an easy natural birth and recovered well.

My career also took a hit from having my son. In your 20s you may not have established yourself yet so delaying that by having a baby isn't such a big deal. You have more energy for juggling it all. Having said that, I was much more patient in my 30s so my son benefited from that. Personally though it cost me a lot to my own well being and satisfaction by having a child in my 30s.

I'm not really that upset. She's been persistently vegetative for about 11 years, non verbal, just not present at all. Before that, she was on a locked ward at the home down to her incessant wandering. I feel more now that she is no longer trapped in any way.

I'm sorry for your loss. My mum was terminally ill for years before she passed away. I know how you feel. It was a relief for me when my mum finally died and was no longer suffering. They wouldn't let an animal suffer the way she did.

thanks for the advice, that's what I'm doing. I did say(tell) my stepdaughters they were responsible for finding a hairdresser  for me on the day of the wedding. Other than that, I don't have to do anything but find a dress and shoes stateside, which won't be easy. I've decided not to stress-out about it since I can't do anything anyway. We are going to take advantage of our time in Paris and do some material shopping for the remodeling work we're planning to start next year on the French house.

I think we are both in the big bust club, so 2 suggestions: get a dress that fits the bust and have it altered to fit the rest or try eshakti if you have some time. I think the first is probably what I'd do.

The Dane became a citizen yesterday!

And then forbade me from wearing a cool steampunk style corset to the Manson concert tonight on account of it being too risqué. He's not going.  It is a rock concert, one of the few appropriate times for such clothes.  I was going to wear it anyway, but it is a long drive there and then wearing it all night might be a little hard on the breathing.

Hey, congrats to the Dane! He should want to see his wife in a steampunk corset in celebration of the event. La Colombiana wears corsets quite often and has worn other risque outfits. It bugged me a little bit the first couple of times it happened and then I just let it go after that. If it bothers others then it's their problem, not mine or her's.

I would wear it to leave the house, because I'm obstinate, and then take it off later if it's uncomfortable. I'd then wear it for the next week if I felt like it - to watch TV, do chores, anything really. Do you tell him what he can wear? I can be very childish though so I wouldn't take advice from me.

Totally unsustainable. Re-connection and appreciation of vertebrae and realistic management is needed, man. Have you had MMR scan? You can't continue down this path. Pain is a pain. Pain is weary and debilitating. It's unacceptable to live in unmanageable pain.
