Hello everyone!  We filed on June 11th and have yet to receive an NOA2.  We are deeply concerned yet I'm not sure who to contact (the Chicago USCIS office?) to find out what is going on.  Anyone with guidance on here is greatly appreciated.

It'll take several months from filing to receive NOA2. You have only waited for a month.

Assuming you mean a NOA1 (there's not a NOA2 in AOS; the next things after NOA1 -- presuming no RFEs -- are the biometrics appointment letter and then the interview schedule notification), contact lockbox support if you don't get it by tomorrow (they're supposed to get back to you within 30 days).

The email for lockbox support is LockboxSupport@uscis.dhs.gov .

This is weird but I just saw a case that got an RFE after the biometrics appointment.

Any idea what for? Possible as they’re working on the case  and background checks post biometrics.

It was for birth certificates and translations. However, they DID send them in the initial package. Some people commented that sometimes documents might be lost during the process and bam! RFE

The i-485 approval letter is the NOA2. Just like with the i-129f, the i-130, the i-751 etc.
