Hi everyone, I filed my i-360, i-485 and i-765 in December 2018. My fee waiver for my i-485 was denied in January 2019. In March, I received a RFE for my Police clearance letter.  In April, I refiled my I-485 and I-765. In June, I submitted my RFE response. Will USCIS wait until my case is approved for me to receive my EAD card?

I don’t think $500 is expensive. When I was getting mine done it was like $1800 but I end up paying about $1200.

Look for catholic charities or a Jewish organization they give help to all regardless your religion. I do go to Josselyn Center in Northfield Illinois. Try in your area plus when I lived there I went to The Looking Glass $70 per session.

I hope it helps, best!

I dont think $500 is cheap. And you should not just be looking at cost. You should concentrate more on quality. I had a pretty good 15 page evaluation report at the end of my sessions and it was clearly professionally written, no doubt about it. I did my psychological evaliation in dallas, Texas around Farmer's Branch area and it costed me $1500 but i was pretty satisfied with the report. So, be very careful with who ever is asking for $500. Check their history, and their experience with immigration. At the end of the day, what you want is a pretty good report that is going to help your VAWA petition and i realized when i was shopping for a psychologist that a lot of them really didnt understand what i was asking for. Once i noticed that i just moved on to the next because my thinking is that if you dont know what i am asking for then you dont have experience writing the kind of report that i wanted. That should be your thought process going into this. The last thing you need is a psychological evaluation report that will be sent back for clarification and i have seen some people in this forum who had request from USCIS for clarifications about their psychological evaluation report. So please be careful as you shop and dont concentrate solely on just cheap cost. I know money is a big deal and a lot of us can not afford but your priority should be a good quality report first before cost. If cost is really a very big deal then try the charity organizations or Bro bonos psychologist who are usually tough to get to.
