Me too i have never use it before, my lawyer advised me that we can use it but its safer to pay the money to avoid delays or rejection and it was worth paying.

Same with my case too. My lawyer advised me to pay the x amount because he noticed that the  applicants who have asked for waiver gets so much delays in processing. So, I paid and it has been smooth since after receiving PF.

For my renewal EAD they returned it twice asking for the fee. Replied back each time about no fee required. When they sent it back the third time I just paid the fee and had renewal EAD in 3 months.

I am new here, so please have mercy :)  i submitted the VAWA petition in May, 2017. I got notice of approval, January 7, 2019. Received my work permit 1 week later. Submitted my change of status application February 1, 2019. On March 22, 2019 notice of biometrics was issued and the status online was showing that the case was transferred to another office. I also got my advance Parole approval on March 11th. Is there anyone else with this timeline cause i am going crazy now and don't know what to expect. I would like to travel with the AP paper but afraid they won't let me back in. Thanks.

Everything seems to be in order! People travel all the time with their AP and return safely...so you're good! As for your pending case they will send you an interview letter when you're up next in line! I'm actually at same stage with you..so we just have to wait! Did you get courtesy letter for medicals yet?

Yes you can file for VAWA.I am a man and,  I filed based on phycological and physical abuse. I was approved last month. It took 19 months and one RFE ( good moral character). The attorney you went to is an idiot and don't listen to her. In my opinion you have strong if you have all of those evidence. Good luck 😇

Interview notice usually takes anywhere from 8months and above..very few folks got theirs earlier! I already had a pending i485 with medicals initially submitted..but they will need a new one so I'm expecting a letter reminding me to get a new one! Guess we still have some wait ahead before interview! So sit tight😊

Don’t listen to some of these attorneys about you can’t file VAWA as a man. I am a man as well, filed April 2017, got work permit January 1, 2019 and February 2019 then Green Card May 2019.

Patience is what we need dear😊 you can travel if you want but if it's not urgent..then wait for your greencard. You should be fine way before another year rolls by. Hey don't be scared about travelling..many members here have been gone and back..easy peasy! 👍

Thank you for the support. I haven't gone home for over 10 years... so that's the rush. I would like to hear from anyone who overstayed their visas (by a lot :P) and still traveled with AP  while in process of adjustment of status.

I Overstay 10 years (I know your feeling), And I traveled 2x with AP, pending Adjustment of Status February 2018 & December 2018.... and I just renew my EAD/AP and planning traveled this year 2019 as well before renewing it again. If your AOS application  is pending and you have no previous legal criminal problems or removal order you should be fine... Once again this is my personal experience and  i haven't have any problem reentering USA, my lawyer also advise me to travel that I was going to be back without any problem.

Thanks for sharing. No, don't have any records. i know it would be a risk. When i applied for adjustment of status i was told by my attorney this whole process takes @ 8 months. So i was really hoping that at least by August to have a clear picture if i can go back to visit. And you know when you get hipped up and now... bummer, it's actually 8-12 months. So my patience is at limits... Thanks again.

Wow! Congratulations at least you have a status change which took a while too and work permit. From what State are you from?
