I think it’s true cuz initially I’ve never used a fee waiver. Didn’t even knew what it was until I found this forum.Β

Me too i have never use it before, my lawyer advised me that we can use it but its safer to pay the money to avoid delays or rejection and it was worth paying.

I spoke to a lawyer and she refused to take my case, because she told me it is very difficult for a man to apply VAWA based on emotional/psychological abuse

I didn't file any police report or protective order

Β

However, I have a copy of psychological evaluation report, mental health doctor appointment letters, a lot of emails/text messages/social app transcript/pictures showing "extreme cruelty" of domestic violence against me

Β

I also came up with a 40 page personal statement detailing bona fide marriage and domestic violence

Β

Are all these evidences considered sufficient to prove domestic violence? I am looking forward to hearing advice. Thanks

Β

Β

Β

My dear the lawyer is lying,.... Vawa is for man and woman,.. with vawa you have to be able to prove 3times a d once you have these 3things you can apply for vawa...

1, Good faith marriage.Β

2, prove of the Abuse..Β

3, Good moral character...Β

If you have all this in place then u can apply for vawa... talk to @sandraj she is the lawyer here...Β

LOL @ the lawyer is lying!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ the lawyer simply isn't well informed/knowledgeable! I read a comment that said the lawyer is "an idiot"πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but in reality the attorney is just not informed! Perhaps clueless! You guys make me laugh as well!Β I hope you're all set with your documents now...😏

My dear I told u the last time they said I should bring a job offer letter and that what am now looking for ,.. the stress is too much.. I wish I paid for the renewal of my EAD I wouldnt have gotten so stress.. pls check statistic people that paid for their ead renewal , they dont have stress... I have talked to a couple of them, am not saying that fee waver is not cool, but it is what it is.. given someone money to do something and not given someone people to do something is 2 different things... USCIS like money, even if they know u file for vawa and ur ead renewal is suppose to be free , they pretend as if they dont know and send ur EAD back and ask u to pay.. when u remind them it's free and file fee waver then they delay u for 9months or 11months b4 they give you... Am 8months in this now but the USCIS site wouldnt allow me put in a service Request,Β  its say am not due for it at this time... too much drama

Well I've seen that trend..but it's hard to pin anything now..LOLπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ no one knows for sure their modus operandi..well nothing stops them from coming out straight to announce that fees must be paid henceforth, no waivers whatsoever...and end the drama!πŸ˜πŸ˜• it can certainly be frustrating!
