Citation is not an arrest. The case was dismissed since you paid the fine. And moreover traffic related offenses excluding DUI / DWI does not count as a crime of moral turpitude.

I want to say thank you to all and one of the VJ members you are amazing, i want to apologies for that stupid question but im so scared and afraid what will happen but tnx to you my anxiety is going down, thank you all and i will keep you updatedΒ Β Β

You filed too early, they are going to send it back. You can only file for renewal as early as 120 days before it expires.Β

Yes once again my attorney gave me the wrong information. I’m also reading online that I have to pay a renewal fee again, is this correct? I didn’t know that. I paid the first time. Omg I guess I screwed this whole thing up. The attorney wanted to charge me $750 which I don’t have and I didn’t realize I had to pay again to renew. The lawyer kept saying we would send it out 6 months prior and nothing about a fee.Β

I need help people I think I made a mistake. My lawyer told me to file my EAD renewal this month which is 6 months early and she didn’t say anything about fees. I mailed it off, I didn’t include a payment for renewal. I thought that I don’t have to pay based on what people posted on here. My I485 is pending and I paid for that and 765 application, but I didn’t know I needed to pay for 765 renewal and another biometrics. I’m so confused and worried now. I couldn’t afford the $750 lawyer wanted to charge me and now I think my package will be returned.

Hey there..I believe Sandra and Fedaniela addressed a similar issue.. Are you divorced? You can take your divorce decree to support any explanation..at least that's what the above mentioned members adviced for an enquiry same as yours just read previous five post on this same thread..you'll find it.Cheers!☺

I found this on USCIS cite: Β

Additionally, USCIS is now allowing EAD renewals to be filed earlier – up to 180 days (it was 120 days) prior to the expiration of the current EAD document. Β Β Even with this earlier EAD renewal eligibility, the issue often is EAD holders forgetting to file their EAD renewals until it is too late. Β  For certain holders, specifically H-4 EAD and L-2 EAD, itΒ continues to be very important to file renewals as early as possible and ideallyΒ 180 days prior to EAD expiration.

You are right dear! I remember arguing with my attorney that I needed to renew my EAD c9 way before expiration..but she vehemently refused saying they will return it..I think the problem is when these updates are made..folks in general do not know as they don't check to see what's new..which shouldn't be so as change is always expected especially with USCIS! Although I have my EAD C31 now, I'm still waiting on my EAD C9 renewal from since Feb! Which could have been taken care of had we filed much earlier! I'm not sure I will renew EAD again before my i485 interview...hopefully! But just incase I need it, I will make certain I renew way early as USCIS allows to be on the safe side!

Congrats on your C31. I definitely can’t afford to be without a job, so knowing renewals are taking 4-6 months, this update definitely helps. I’m in the beginning process of my journey. I was freaking out at first when I read 120 days and that it might be returned. I thank God my lawyer was right. How long did it take for tour VAWA approval? Any RFE?Β

I applied March 2017 didn't hear anything until November 2018 when I received an RFE..my lawyer delayed me as I had my RFE ready..but she travelled and finally it was sent out in Jan 2019 and approved March! But hey not everyone gets RFE..just incase you're anticipating one..relax God is in control!πŸ™β˜Ί RFE doesn't mean God isn't in control though..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ it just delays..never DENIED!Β
