I think you should have your divorce decree, if planning to travel, usually passport and travel document must match you need to explain the officer on your entry if he ask. also any other documents that show your ex husband last name before the change will also help.... I don't know how the name change works or handle with USCIS if it happens when we renew any documents and we change it in the form...Β Β (EAD, GC etc)Β

Okay thank you so much. Thats what i thought to.Β

Hi. I do have one question. Have you ever done any biometrics before this? I have received a notice from them recently saying that they will reuse my fingerprint information in their database. I filed my case back in April of this year.

You are welcome family😎

Hey All I just filed in my EAD renewa C09, which doesn't expire until Dec 2019. How long are people usually waiting for EAD renewal? I see the website says 5-8 months? I hope people are getting renewals from Vermont sooner than that. What are your experiences? How long have you waited? I read on here we get a 6 months extension with the notice of action if you file 6 months early before expiration correct? My DL expires in Jan 2020, so I'm not too worried yet. I'm praying I get my renewed card in 4 months.Β

Hi

I applied for VAWA in August 2018

Β

I will be using my Advance Travel parole document in August this year (going back home to visit after 4.5 years) but I was wondering the following- my EAD combo card has the last name that I took from my abusive husband and my passport has my maiden name.

Β

Would it be a problem if I travel and I have a different name in my passport and my EAD?

Β

thanks

You filed too early, they are going to send it back. You can only file for renewal as early as 120 days before it expires.Β

Hello, I did it twice because the USCIS branch office is near where I lived anyway so why not. It won’t hurt.Β

Hey there..I believe Sandra and Fedaniela addressed a similar issue.. Are you divorced? You can take your divorce decree to support any explanation..at least that's what the above mentioned members adviced for an enquiry same as yours just read previous five post on this same thread..you'll find it.Cheers!☺
