Hey Nikky is your field office Queens too? Truly no one can say for sure how USCIS operates..I've see very unusual situations/cases...also I don't pay much attention to the processing times no more...they're not working according to them... @MAYgirl I believe strongly you'll be notified shortly! Don't be distressed! Nikky was worried as well next thing you know..the letter showed up! Keep cool God is in total control!🙏😊

Yes it is...remember i just ask last week if anyone heard from them ...and boom here comes the Father up above telling me he got me

Your own congratulations is not far away! You have such a good heart!❤ We'll be here to cheer you and celebrate with you as well! The bond we make here..family-like..with folks we.haven't seen..maybe just a few...is awesome!!! I'm so glad I found this family...I was broken and lost..and everything in between...this place gave me myself back..my bubbly full of life self..so much zeal and zest!🌟🌟🌟😁😁💁  Godbless every one of us here and give us our heart desires!!!🙏❤❤❤❤❤🙏

Amen, amen and a BIG AMEN!!! I claim it joyfully in Jesus Mighty name, amen!! Thank you so much!! My God has been faithful to me and my children, HE brought me out from 16 years of marital bondage and torture into HIS light, to see that there's a kinder, warmer, much loving world out there and I have fully embraced that love. I am so happy, and I have peace and joy in my heart, I just thank God everyday.

Side note: the sadist asked our church to broker a reconciliation, he actually had the nerve to promise them that he is "a changed man", and he has seen the light, ha!! He wants to finish the work he started, this time, it will be untraceable, God forbid!! I reject him, my spirit rejects him, my soul rejects him. He should tell that to someone who just met him!! So the church called me today to see if they could set up a meeting saying he promised them that he would sign papers to that effect and he would undergo anger management for 6 months, that he doesn't want to lose me and our children. Really???. I politely declined and told them to inform him that I will be joining the convent (hopefully he walks away after hearing that 🙂) so that door is closed, at least to him. I just thank God and celebrate my life every single day. Thank you Jesus🙏

Hello everyone I have a question if anybody has a similar situation. I am still waiting for my i-360 approval and currently I already have a EAD and advance parole approval. I want to start building my new life with my kids and will work hopefully soon. I had doctor's bills before that I wasn't able to pay  because of my situation, will these bills be reported to the credit bureaus and will affect my credit score now that I have my SSN?

@Stillwinning!!!😊Kudos to your energy, positivity and kindness. Stay blessed always.

Since the point has come up, let me seek some more enlightenment on this topic.

Is it not absolutely necessary to have divorce petition started by the time we attend GC interview? Is there any chance that CIS raises question in interview why it’s not initiated since the ground for vawa is abuse? If we don’t initiate divorce is it going to have bad impact on interview?

For some, divorce process amplifies stress levels as one needs extra time, energy, savings and emotional strength to face it .it might negatively impact the job too as the process can be traumatic. if one is already separated from spouse they may not want to face them and disturb current peace.

Does CIS take such factors into consideration? Is that why divorce is not a requirement for vawa based GC interview? Kindly advise 🙏

Good night everyone!!

Hey Guys, want to give my experience on this topic when I went to my initial AOS interview here in NYC office, After my lawyer handle I-360 receipt to the officer and explain to him the marriage was broken, the officer ask me for my divorce decree my lawyer promptly responded we haven't filed yet, His face change and he look at the I-360 receipt which  is June 2018 and my Interview was on May 2019, he said OK well your I-485 cannot be process now since I-360 is pending in Vermont unit i will ship I-485 to Vermont and you will be scheduled for a second interview you will have more time to start the process.....  I did not mind what he said I was just happy he held my I-485. Until i see this conversation on here, Every officer is different but USICS expect you to divorce your abuser at some point if I-360 taking 16-24 months plus the adjustment of status time we talking about almost 2 years or more process, we have a consider time to get divorce or to at least try to start the process. Is logical to do so, because been married to someone is also being tie and have  jointly responsibility in the eyes of the law. So Maybe NOT require at the interview but is expected.

(just my personal and point of view as I saw the officer reaction your experience can be different)...

Only if you provide them your SSN. But if you go to the same hospital with your name they can linked and you will be billed, you can also applied for Medicaid they can cover old bills as well, or arrange payment plans... this situation happened to my mom.
