It came quickly. I thought I had time for divorce. I cringe everytime I have to use his last name.

I felt this way too. But i have changed my name now cos my divorce has been finalized.ย

I am trying to follow along with everyones timeline but sometimes I get confused. Are you waiting for the interview? If so please ask in the interview if they can change your name back to your maiden one. They may be able to do it, they may not. At least ask! If they do not change it then you will eventually have to pay (or use fee waiver) to get a card later with your maiden name.

No

You still have to obtain a green card to file. However once u get your GC after VAWA approval, u don't have to wait 5 years.ย

I'm trying to find AOS interview insights. I know they're there just can't find them.

I want to know what to expect/bring. The notice was generic about spouse. Do I have to do all that again?

Go over the copy of your I485 form..VAWA petitioners are often interviewed by the content of the AOS form! Very few officers go over the abuse..etc..but typically it's just a question of the info provided on your i485 like i said!ย
