Congrats Texas girl. We are so happy each time anyone of us in here gets an approval. I have a quick question for you though. After sending additional evidence, did you ever get any notification that your additional evidence has been received? I Filed in May 2018 and i send additional evidence (Police good moral character Clearance from home country). I sent that in early June and it was received June 5th 2019 from my tracking. However, i have not seen any signs of confirmation that my additional evidence has been received by USCIS. I just assumed that since they didn't request for it, they wont bother confirming that they received it. Is that thesame experience you had? Or did they notify you that they received your additional evidence?

Thank you, Stillwinning - I'll wait upon that RFE. Do you have an idea of the the time I have to respond?

I believe it's the same with everyone..not sure though but I was given I think 84 days to respond! But don't get relaxed..send in your response as soon as yo can! The earlier the better! For now just wait for your RFE which will come in a few days!

hi,

If my husband is willing to sign my divorce papers without me having to serve him with a process server or with an attorney, would that be viewed bad for my vawa case? i wasn't able to find out where he lives now, so I wasn't sure how and where to serve him with divorce papers. but finally I was able to communicate with him through texts and now he's willing to meet. The fact that my divorce petition is going to be a joint petition and not one served by a third party(process server) can have some bad effect for my vawa case? i was thinking it can be viewed as if we are in good terms and never had problems at all? thanks

I am going to a similar situation right now, I already filled the divorce paper, and he is willing to sign voluntary everything is arrange between us and court order for child support and custody, no fault divorce I don't want to go to more frustration with courts date and more emotional stress. We do it a more simple less painful way, a divorce or divorce ground will not affect our VAWA case, since a divorce is expected by USCIS after the abuse. My lawyer confirm this information as well.

Congrats!!! So excited and happy for you!
Yeah thats true this forum helps a lot.
So, I just have a quick question...how did you send an evidence? Any specific format of letter required? And where you mail it? To Vermont, right?
I am asking because I think I need to send something as well.
I filled with all required things except the final divorce papers because divorce happened after I sent my I360 application. So do you think I need to send final divorce papers to USCIS?
Also, my lawyer sent my case, so I dont really know exactly what she sent and what she didnt...but I provided her with all the evidence of legit marriage, statements about abuse, proof of residing together, photos, etc..
I also got a prima facie 1 like a month ago..does that mean they dont need more evidence or it does not?
Thanks and happy friday!

Prima facie has no connection with

request of evidence.Anyone who got prima  facie can receive an RFE.

Hi Kersac - your RFE was for police certificate, correct? Had you included it in your original application packet?

I did not receivea rfe. I just sent it because I did not send it in my original application. After reading the experiences of other VJ members, i decided to send it

On July 26, 2019 we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EAC##########.

I filed my VAWA case on January 31, 2018 and today it says  New card is Being Produced. My I485 was placed on Hold in the NYC field office when i went to the interview last year based on my ex husband I130 and they renewed the EAD Card based on my pending I485.
