Hello to you all. May God be with all of us. On this new thread we will all be show our happy dance.

I need help, I'm about to submit my RFE for good moral character. it is specific they need a police clearance from back home which I have now. But I'm not sure if they need some other affidavit. I'm adding one affidavit for my character from a relative, emails from where I volunteer. The personal affidavit which i submitted was one paragraph. Do I need to add a personal affidavit?

If so please help me find a sample or some kind of templates.

and what else do i need for good moral character? I already submitted an affidavit from my pastor, mom, sister and a friend.

Thanks in advance

@sandranj

To prove  good moral character you just need the police clearance. You mentioned  "The personal affidavit which i submitted was one paragraph", are you talking about your affidavit telling about your marriage and abuse? if yes, then  you need to submit an affidavit with 8/13 pages telling about courtship, marriage and abuse.

I just got a police clearance from back home. you need the police clearance if you have lived anywhere in the last 3 years prior to filling vawa. If you are resided here more than 3 years here in the us you don't need it. You only need a police clearance from where you resided (county police clearance)

If you were back home in the last 3 years for more than 6 months you need to submit that. first send someone from back home to get information what is needed to get a clearance from your country police department.

My country needs an authenticated finger print so I went to an assigned finger print services then notarise it at bank, went to city gov. for authentication, Department of state, Embassy of my home country then I sent the document. In my country you need a power of attorney then i sent a power of attorney they notarise the documents at ministry of foreign affairs, then they took the document to police department of forensic examination, got the clearance and again notarise it at ministry of foreign affairs and they sent it back to me. If my experience helps

thank you so much Lola for typing it out !
i came to USA in march 2016 so yeah i have been here for more than three years now

Hi were you here 3years prior to filing for vawa? If not then you'll need from your home country or the last location just before moving out here!

oh i get it now
no i wasn't
so is it better to get a home country police office clearance beforehand or wait for approval/RFE ?

I know but while my son with me

And get more evidence that she was abusive for my son  i think it will help me

Because when i file  I just have 5 days to file the vawa and gathered as much as I can from evidence

I got more from the divorce what she claims but the divorce court found that she is lying to the immigration and the family court

wof2020 you need to read more about VAWA. I assume your son is a U.S Citizen, her abuse against your child will not benefit your VAWA petition at all, the abuse  against a child will count JUST if the  child is here without status.

It doesn't really expire...so you can always get it so when they ask for it..you can send with ease! Some folks send in new evidence as they get them...it's possible you are able to send it in..others might suggest you wait till you get the RFE..either ways..you need it.

Stillwinning is right,  you MUST get  a police clearance from your Country as well.

On June 3 one of your post:

There is no waiver available for breaking the immigration law AFTER filing VAWA/AOS regarding working without EAD.They forgive those who worked without EAD,before VAWA, and even those who entered without inspection but once the person files VAWA the exemption doesn’t apply and there is no waiver available for this ok.

May I ask where did you get this information?

Any previous VAWA AOS cases being denied based on unauthorized employment after filling VAWA 485 concurrent filling? I am curious

On the website it states clearly that INA 245 c2 and c8 doesn't bar VAWA AOS concurrent filling

Why it doesn't apply to me the vawa

My son is 2 and half year??

Your child is already a US Citizen and cannot apply for VAWA. If your wife has abused your child, you report it to the state not immigration.

What is the process of requesting for primae facie extension if it’s about to expired and new one is not coming. Is it a bad signal and can I do it through my representatives or myself? @sandraj to the rescue. I have first primae facie for a year that will expired 26th of this month. Thanks in anticipation

Thank you for your response. I submitted all the courtship, marriage and abuse. what i wanted to say is I only wrote (included) one paragraph about myself that I am a person of good moral character. Now I have a affidavit from my cousin only about my character, a certificate from my church which I took biblical courses. what do you suggest?
