I have one question now. My VAWA application was received on June 26 and fees have been waived a few days ago.  I have the receipt now. I had EAD from i-485 that's gonna be expire in January 2020. I need to work. My attorney only applied for I-360. She said it was a strong case and we would win it. However, she did not recommend about sending new I-485 and 765. Now, I am worried how I will work  and earn for myself. I need to know about my chances. How can I apply for new EAD? My old I-485 has been denied since my spouse did not go with me on interview. The officer did not hold it for me. She told me to apply for VAWA. 

Your current EAD base on your  I-485 is not valid anymore is automatically revoke once your I-485 is denied....   You can sent to Vermont a new I-485 along with I-765 C09 and I-131 if your spouse was a USC. Explain this to your lawyer the wait time for a VAWA approval is long 16-24 months and you need to work to support your self, some lawyer just want to be save and not applied for AOS due to denial and removal proceedings. But you can certainly apply and you should.

I will say give it more time, interview at NYC local officer are taking 8-9 months i think you should be receiving an interview soon, if you reach 12 months period which i think you will not than you need to involve your Congress person to inquired.

It's really not unusual..there are so many NYC petitioners who are at that same stage! Although she filed April 2017, it was approved in Dec 2018..in good time! The focus now is Dec till date...waiting for the interview to be scheduled..which will happen any time now...😊

Surely not from approval! Perhaps two years from date filed! NYC and Chicago have almost same processing speed...don't even know which one is worse..but FridayGirl69 just got interview notice..it's definitely coming..chill😊👍

Looks like not a lot of postings yet for January? Anybody there Jan2018? Give us feedbacks please.

I’m really curious how they process cases. I see someone who filed 2019 and got approved recently. There are people who hasn’t been approved for 2 years. Is it the RFE that mainly determines the length of approval?
