Kindly advise, i filed EAD renewal in February, finger print cleared. I realized I did not file AP renewal. My error, i thought it will renew authomatically since its paired with my EAD.

What can I do at this point to get the AP renewed? Or will it be renewed like that since it was on the combo card.

Thanks for your advice.

@sandranj @Stillwinning!!!😊 And members with helpful info, what does having a priority date on your vawa approval letter mean if your ex is a US citizen?

I have asked Sandra that question before..thinking it will hasten process but it really doesn't...my spouse is a USC and I saw the priority date on my VAWA approval letter..sandra says it doesn't hasten nothing LOL! It shows the date my spouse first filed i485 for me! Is that what yours display?

Yeah, shows the date the first AOS package was sent in. I pray it means we will get our GC’s on that date or before. Amen 🙏

Nothing renews automatically my dear, but from what you said..it's a combo card so I believe it will come with both EAD and AP! They're not gonna seperate it now..only renewing the card which happens to be a combo! Thats what I think but of course I'm no attorney..hear from Sandra and other folks who have had the experience!😊👍

Thank you. Hope this helps!

Congratulations!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I have a concern for my own case. I am from Canada and I have a record there but I have received a pardon in which my record is sealed. US does not recognize the pardon so I am concerned they will also ask a RFE for good moral character. I am thinking to include as much info regarding my charges that were 14 years ago. Did you have a record in Jamaica? is that why they asked for RFE and also what did you include to show "good moral character"? Thank you so much. Your post really helped me a lot. Also I see you did not receive your EAD until April of this year! But you send everything to uscis in jan of 2018. Did it take that long because they wanted more information first?

Can affidavits from my mom and sibling supporting a marriage work in a vawa  application ?

NOTE my mother and sibling are not in the states . They reside in my home country

I got an affidavit from my mom who is in my home country and she mailed it.

Hi were you here 3years prior to filing for vawa? If not then you'll need from your home country or the last location just before moving out here!

does having a criminal record in your home country go against you even if your home country has pardoned you and sealed your record. It is from 14 years ago. Have never been in trouble since and have been of good moral charter since then.

I wish but not so. If that's the case my interview would have been already scheduled. Current priority date is way past my orignal date.

There is no such thing as a sealed record for immigration purposes. You can write a statement to go along with police record. USCIS will determine if it's an issue or Crime of Moral Turpitude.

If they request the information and u don't submit it, your petition will be denied.
