Hi all,

I have a quick question. I have currently pending I-485, I-360.
Just applied for EAD+AP extension as you suggested to Vermont Office and got receipts that they accepted it and processing now.

I also got an update for I-485 recently, now the status is: You case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
The question is the following: I recently moved from FL to CA, I updated my address with USCIS but never got any confirmation from them about it. I also sent a letter to Vermont SC requesting to schedule my interview in CA, not FL (attached proof of address, etc). So, I still don't know where they will schedule my interview. How can I check it and how to make sure it is going to be scheduled here in CA !? Thank you.

Your Marriage base I-485 it seems to be already at your local office in FL, when you received this notification NBC already shipped the file to Local office and your are on queue for a interview date, best way is to call USCIS customer service line 1 (800) 375-5283 to confirm the change of address was made on your I-485 don't mention anything about I-360 so they can give you this information, sometimes the customer service representative can't see the I-360 pending,  but interview can be delay since they need to ship the file to CA local office. But if the I-485 is already link with I-360 customer service will not give your this information you may have to make an infopass. For some reason in my I-485 marriage base application was not linked automatically even thought my lawyer requested when we file I-360, the officer at my interview did not have any knowledge the I had filed an I-360 and the it was pending for 11 months already he checked the status once we were at the office and confirm it.

Hello everyone,

I felt this information will help anyone that desire to get financial aid to study in college. While VAWA approval is pending.

Today I eventually got my Federal Aid awards after verifications of my status. While waiting for my VAWA approval, I will be starting a Master's program this Fall. I am based in California.

Whenever you apply for FAFSA, the college will request for verification of your non-citizenship and elegibility. Present your ID(Driver's Licence) Receipt of your VAWA petition and Prima Facie(key document). And that is it.

Hope this information help someone out there.

This info helps a lot ... thanks

Those Nursing Private school are not college or university with an integrated option to get Federal Financial aid FAFSA or regular financial aid. They are institute they will accept a partial financial aid together with a loan since is a faster path to get a certificated not an associated degree... they are a lot of institute like that here in NYC and a lot of complaints about taking students financial aids and in top pushing students to also get a loan. This is why they need Green Card student, and USA citizenship because you need to get a loan.  Is best to apply to College they will accept FAFSA and not an institute

This info is great piece of info ... so which colleges in nyc will accept our prima facie ?

I have the same question. I have receipt and PF. Will ICE leave us alone?

I believe they are after folks with deportation orders...and like they say..criminals tops the list! Know your rights folks..most of the times they just harrass/intimidate! If they do not have judicial warrants do not let their administrative warrants scare you! Most of the times they go about with just the administrative warrants looking to get as many vulnerable people as they can, but in reality they can't touch you without the orders of a judge! Which is the judicial warrant I mentioned above!

So with all this immigration changes, specially with this fast track, how safe am i if i have the receipt that they received my vawa?

You need to read your NOA1 and see what it says about that.  I don't exactly remember.  I would not focus on ICE and try to keep your thoughts positive and focused on working, etc...

If you have your EAD, you have a valid authorization

I will advice you go to a public universities or colleges that are listed on FAFSA.

You will get financial aid.

Check out public colleges and universities.

Best still when you can  apply for FAFSA , while still thinking on universities you want to apply to.

The moment you have some names of Universities you wish to apply to. Fill them on your FAFSA if they are participating university it will pop up. And your application will be forwarded to the school, even before you apply for admission.
