Wow! You would even have to bear the expense of flying down to them to get your permit! That's not nice! How come they're so far away though..you couldn't find anything close to you..or you moved? Girl you gotta do what you gotta do! No jokes!😕

My dear it's a long story.. I keep call them and they keep putting my calls on hold and not attending to me.. they ask me wait and I wait and the call goes on for 20mins without no one speaking

I would take the police with you and let them know that you need an escort to pick up your property.

@Modu. Please print out your case status through the USCIS website and keep the screenshot on your phone, email and photos. It will have the date it was approved and when you received the notice.

If he still doesn’t give it to you and gives you a hard time when you ask nicely, please call go to the precinct closest to his office and file a complaint against him. That is abuse of power! Keep records and document everything.

Don’t say or do anything else. Be nice. Ask politely. But, if they continue to deflect and waste time and avoid/ignore your requests, then please file a police complaint. It does not take that long to review EAD/I-765 receipt notice/approval notice. It’s 1-2 pages long! You did not have a denial. He can always make and keep a copy for his own office records and give you the original document. He is giving you the run around. I wonder why, though? Best of luck!

Probably trying to come up with a way to get more money from her! I don't see any reason he's delaying in giving her what's hers! Everything's being paid for! Well said though👍

Hello lovely people.

i haven’t been on here in a while. I have a question. I have done me i485 interview since September 28th of last year. Yes it way outside of processing time. I would like to make an info pass but I’m not sure how to go about it. My father was hit by a truck today and he die. I desperately need to go to his funeral.

Any helpful advise is appreciated. Thank you.

You can file for Advanced Parole - emergency by making an Infopass appt and complete the I-131

First I want to say that I'm really sorry about the unfortunate incident! Do accept my condolences!

Next..I don't know how true this is but I read online that USCIS is planning to phase out the online self scheduling system starting Sept...etc..but here's what I also found..

Under the new system, applicants must instead first call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 to ask about their cases and potentially be scheduled for an in-person meeting at a USCIS field office.

Applicants can also submit a request online for an in-person meeting at my.uscis.gov/help/schedule. A USCIS official will review the online request and call the applicant back to schedule an appointment if needed.

I hope you are able to do it fast enough so you can go pay your last respects! Take care!

USCIS takes approximately three months to process your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document. If you are experiencing an extremely urgent situation, you may visit your local USCIS office to request an Advance Parole Document on an emergency basis.

@#Godgotthis just so you know all cases are different mine took 5 months so average through others between 3-8 months more accurate.

@Stillwinning!!!😊 how are you? Any news?

Nothing on my side yet...
