Hi guys, 

I need a little help. I just received my package back saying that mi I-485 was rejected. It took a long time to receive any news from them and I just saw that they had the zip code from my po box all wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyways, I can’t understand why it was rejected. Can someone shed some light into it for me? I filled together with the I-360, I-765. I received a package of the I-765 rejected too but nothing about the I-360. I plan on re-file everything tomorrow. Should I send a new I-360 too?? 

Please, any help is much appreciated!

Dont panic, Its not rejected... just not accepted. you are missing some documents or did not fill it out correctly...Did you use a lawyer?

Do not panic my dear, i had the same issue because i did not fill in some dates properly. I only put in months and years buy they wanted the days too. So my lawyer resent it with the correct dates. You don't need to file another 360, just the forms that were sent back.

How long has your marriage being? Talk to a lawyer for advise, tell him you want your spouse to come with you to the interview and the lawyer also, get his opinion.

in my opinion I think it’s worth the shot to attend the interview with him.

We’re only married for a year. He said he will go to the interview no matter what. I’m also afraid what he’s going to tell them. It’s a genuine marriage. I left the house 3x and called the police 2x on him and he was arrested. Im just worried how this interview will turn out. I have no intention of lying to the IO but I’m sure he will deny everythind and will put the blame on me.

Hmmm, if within you, can tell he’s lying then don’t go with him, either ways still get a lawyer,

but if there is a-bit of assurance he can come through on these, you can go with him, but first have talk with him if possible, you might be lucky to know if he genuinely want to come with you.

 vawa is good to fall back on, it’s just the long wait that worth it at the end though. but if this interview can go through without any issue it’s best for you and you can still processed on vawa for your 10years renewal. 

Right now you just have to play him and see if you might be lucky to get him/her on these.

if I had the opportunity I would take a shot.

The letter clearly states that you used the old form. Every now and then, uscis revise their forms during which they add or remove certain questions. You did not fill out the most recent form. You filled out one of the older versions of the I-485.  So go to USCIS website and download the most recent I-485 and then fill it and resend. Thats my understanding of this issue.

I apologize i did not explain correct my history with VAWA 

 

Forms I-131,I-360,I-485,I-765 february 1st 2019 accepted by USCIS

After they received the forms  3 weeks later i ve been on biometrics 

March 2019 USCIS ask for additional evidence (asking for fingerprints for FBI )

May 2019 I-131 form (travel document ) approved together with I-765 c-31 form (Employment authorization card) 

June 2019 where mailed and received from my attorney  ( i picked up )

July 2nd 2019   i got notification for I-360 form said (New card is being produced )

 My question is "what card is being produced" is it again  Employment authorization card or something else

Whao! I connect to this grace. I shift my eye from all this 16-18months before case can be adjudicated.

I covet this kind of overlapping speed for approval for my case and all those that desire same.
