unmarried stepdaughter with 01/17/12 date

Timeline

Well My stepdaughter has a Jan. 17 2012 receipt date so i assume she is about to get a letter from US govt. We have not completeed any forms other than the 130 so can anyone advice me if there is something i should do or shpuld we just sit here and wait. My wife is certainly nervous

I suppose your daughter is unmarried.

Is your i130 approved and sent to NVC? If so, have you called NVC about the status?

 

You will get an email from NVC to start the process asking you to go through several steps of paying, uploading documents. Only after that step is complete which itself may take 1-3 months, you and your daughter will be notified on the interview date.

2015-10-05: NVC assigned Case number, Invoice ID & Beneficiary ID

2016-06-30: DS-261 completed, AOS Fee Paid, WL received

2016-07-05: Received IV invoice, IV Fee Paid

2016-07-06: DS-260 Submitted

2016-07-07: AOS and IV Package mailed

2016-07-08: NVC Scan

2016-08-08: Case Complete

2017-06-30: Interview, approved

2017-07-04: Visa in hand

2017-08-01: Entry to US

Timeline

yes she is unmarried. I called immigrations maybe 3 months ago and they said just sit tight and wait for notice to come from state. My wife though and stepdaughter are totally nervous although she has been here maybe 15 times over the last 12 years
