More info-- We live in the NE corner of Oklahoma. I was looking trying to find times, seeing if this might possibly make things go faster, but it talks about the EAD by mailing it in. If you did the infopass in Oklahoma, would this speed up the EAD also? I'm Soooo confused at this point.

Hi.......first off congratulations on your marriage. Yes, you will need to make your appt. using infopass to get an appt in Oklahoma City. They have a program running right now called DORA which stands for District Office Rapid Adjustment. Things go a bit different going through DORA than most other places in the US. They are only doing this in OK City and in Dallas, TX I believe. The purpose of this program is rapid adjustment which means getting you your Green Card in 90 days or less. The day you go in for your appt. you will have your interview that same day. Then approx. one month or so after you go back for your biometrics appt and then after that it is just a waiting game. There are a few different things with the DORA program....... you need the passport size pics for each husband and wife, don't ask me why but you do, you also need to do the Biographical sheet for both of you...... we only needed one copy though for my hubby (US Citizen) and the 4 copies for myself, some proof that you are married and living as man and wife such as rental agreement or mortgage in both names, joint bank accts, both names on insurances, vehicle, health, etc, wedding photos. Also you don't apply for an EAD or AP when you go through the DORA program, they don't do it as the purpose is to get your Green Card in 90 days or less and with that you can work and travel too. Not having to apply for these also saves you close to another $400.00. You can read on the USCIS website about DORA or do a search on visajourney to find out more info if you need. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask. Best of luck on your journey.

Where abouts do u live in NE Oklahoma.... when I first met my hubby he lived in Grove.

Cheers,

Susan in Tulsa

You are such a life saver! Before my husband moved over, I had looked around at the AOS part and noticed the DORA program, but didn't worry too much about it, until now. I guess we'll be setting up an appointment then. Right now the biggest hurry thing for us was going to be the EAD, but I guess this DORA thing might help out. You were so helpful. Right now we live in Quapaw, its right on the other side of Miami. Can't believe your hubby was so close! It's so exciting to find people here that are so close. :) Thanks again Susan!
