So today is a great day my fiancee visa was approved today. I don’t know where I read this but after your interview the CEAC status changes from immigrant to non-immingrant.

Is this happen automatic or should I manually use the other option?

Is the case number is still the number to be used for tracking purpuses or the DS160 confirmation number?

Thanks!

On the immigrant tracker you always use the NVC assigned number.   On the nonimmigrant tracker you use the DS160 number

YMMV

I preferred using the DS160 number on non-immigrant tracker. It's faster than the other one.

Really, well that’s good to know. She told me that she was handed a paper stating that her visa was approved and they kept her passport. I was just wondering what was the best way. Thanks again!😉

basically after interview, assuming no 221gs or other requests for more forms/information, your case should go to, in order

  1. Immigrant Administrative Processing
  2. Non-immigrant Application Received
  3. Non-immigrant Administrative Processing
  4. Issued

The status may or many not be updated online for each stage, and it's possible to go through multiple steps in less than a day at times, or be stuck on one of the first three steps for days or longer. You don't have to do anything to change this.

If it's after your interview and searching under immigrant for your case by the case number you got from NVC is really slow or doesn't work, your case has probably moved from immigrant to non-immigrant. In that case, searching under non-immigrant using the DS160 confirmation should be faster and more reliable.

Hmm this sounds like it depends on the embassy and worker. Thank you for your input.

What did they advise you at the interview? Have you circled back to the P3. Did you attempt to ask someone from your country's subforum? Mmmm or did Google offer an answer?

I checked your P3 and it clearly states what to do.

Your right it does but is not clear how do you get the tracking number for the courier. So I’m looking for any tip that someone may know about the this final step.

My guess is that you will get an email or some sort of alert.

Sadly my sub-forum is not all that realiable, because there not too much participation. Ecuador is not a power house like Philippines- Mexico- England- Ghana or any major countries that works like an immigration mafia or cartel to come to the US😬😂😜. I even made a tread to help ecuadorian out but no response yet. But hey like I always told you. I-am greatful for everything you @Greenbaum and others have shown me since day one.

My fiancé’s CEAC status went to “ISSUE” two days ago and we feel lost in space because there is no indicator was next. Idk maybe an email, text, a letter or maybe the heavens will open lol. We just want this terrible wait to end and be together that’s all.✌️
