Not sure if this can be of use or not.

Thanks! I've been through that and found a few good leads.

Hi, so I'm having a little working out what I'm missing. I did my medical in London and I think I was told I'm missing a tetanus shot. But it seems like it's marked on the form.

Also wondering why he wrote 'K1' in the 'Vaccine Given By Panel Site' column.

I don't think you're missing anything. I think your form was marked poorly. Can you clarify what shot you had  on 10/25/2017? It's marked in the Td, Td, DTP section but not ticked as to which one. All of those have Tetanus, so if you indeed had a shot in 2017 you are covered for Tetanus until 2027.

it may be the pertussis,  but they marked it poorly. What did they say you needed?

I had a Tetanus and Diptheria combined shot (along with some others) before a trip to Vietnam. I had proof of the shots from my doctor and argued my case but the nurse in London told me I needed a new one. At the time I thought it was possibly because the Petussis was missing but now I'm not sure what she didn't like about it.

This is what made me think they said you needed Tetanus. Knightsbridge tend to write random stuff that on the Tetanus line, even when you've had one in the last 10 years. Their reasoning being it's never complete because boosters every 10 years are advised.

So I think they wrote K1 to indicate you didnt actually have to get anything at that exam and would still get a visa.

If you like, wait until your interview and argue the point there. Tell them the shots are shown with dates and the clinic did you sheet poorly. Maybe it will fly. The worst that happens is they say, go get a shot and send the proof back. Spend the $$$ only if forced at your interview.  They don't RFE anymore for not having an I-693 in you initial application.

EDIT EDIT: it looks like you just got TD and not TDap which is the required version.

You need that pertussis.  Not fun to cough for 12 weeks and end up with lung scarring.

Agreed the TD was missing the pertussis therefore that's why they (stupidly) claimed (and did not advise him correctly) he did not complete the vaccines.

I might be missing something but unless you got a courtesy letter from USCIS to get vaccinations, why there is an urgency to do it now?

I don't think I inferred any urgency? I'm preparing my application and researching all the forms I need to download and complete.

Do you have a problem with the order I'm doing it in?

Unlike the DS-3025, the i-693 is only valid for a year from the date it was signed. So people usually advice to only get it done later in the process as the AOS can take over a year and then USCIS might ask the applicant to do it all over again.

AP: 12-20-2016 - 04-07-2017

Sorry, my comment wasn't as much targeted at you personally, but a general question, because I am not sure I fully understand this part of the process.

From I-485 instructions: image.thumb.png.0ebf0886a6d9ce6489b150b05a3f3629.png

Now, I understand K-1 do not need to submit I-693 at all, since we had medical examination abroad, but the part that I am emphasizing is that instructions heavily imply it might be best to bring it to the interview instead of submitting it with I-485 packet. It is standard procedure for USCIS to send out "courtesy letters" requesting I-693/Vaccination if they find it lacking, my understand that they send those courtesy letters fairly early in the process this is an example of one:

Notice they do not request to mail the information in the way RFE/RFIE do, but basically just let you know something is a miss, and they expect it at the interview, which matches what it says in I-485 instructions.

The DS-3025 er personally submitted doesn't have the checkbox done either, but so far we recieved no such letter or any other RFE/RFIE requests. At the same time, we haven't had our interview yet other. So we will wait to hear from USCIS before doing anything with vaccinations.

The medical exam documents will not be even reviewed until the interview.

A courtesy letter is just that, them doing us a courtesy to remind us that we must satisfy the medical requirements by the interview.

I think you are going to need a Td because you must have had one in the last 10 years. Also Mumps/Measles/Rubella standard in the US is two doses (unless on the day of the exam 4 weeks have not passed since your first dose). You only have one dose of the Mumps and Rubella. A civil surgeon may advise you that you need a MMR shot. If it is flu season when you visit the civil surgeon, a flu shot will be appropriate as well.

Your waivers are not marked in the last column, but you will get a new vaccination sheet from the civil surgeon which will supersede this one. He will mark appropriate waivers for shots "not age appropriate"  (and "not flu season" if your appointment is before Oct 1.)

I'm currently in the states parsing through and calling a list of doctors trying to find one that isn't going to charge me 3-400 for a full medical 😔

You can usually get immunisations at county health clinics for cheaper than at a doctors office. :) Have you tried there?
