If my US interview goes well then yes. I was born in Britain (so a British citizen since birth) but I was always eligible for Irish citizenship through my family. I had to take Irish citizenship before my daughter was born for her to be able to take Irish citizenship, rather than any need for myself. As the UK are leaving the EU I wanted her to be able to live wherever she wanted/needed in Europe visa free (as I’ve spent the past six years going through various visa applications).

Wonderful news CharlieJK, congrats and best of luck! My time has been zero as well for over a week too, I applied mid July. My completion date still says March 2020.

i just got schedule for my interview... what did they ask you for civics test???

My interview was at 9 am, i went in around 8.45 am and by 9.30 am i was out of the building. I felt that N400 was the easiest part of the immigration process, removal of condition being the worse.

I was asked 6 questions

What is the highest court in the US?

Name one American Indian tribe in the US?

Name one right only for the US citizen?

What did Martin Luther king jr do?

When do we celebrate Independence day?

Why did the colonist fight the British?

He told me to read the sentence shown on the ipad 'When do we celebrate Columbus Day?' I read it back to him. Then he told me to write on ipad ' Columbus Day is celebrated in October'
goodluck

So the "estimated completion time" for my case has disappeared from the UCIS online system. I don't have an estimated timeline anymore. The only thing I have is "we're taking longer than expected to process your case." So I don't know at this point how much longer I have to wait, maybe another three months or six months or a year or what. So frustrating....

Exactly two weeks from today to hopefully gain my citizenship. Did I say I'm one heck of a nervous wreck as the days draws closer....
