I had my oath ceremony and received my naturalization certificate yesterday. I’ve a work related travel coming up in 2 weeks so I’ll be going to the passport agency to apply in person.

I’m glad to be done with USCIS! Good luck to all!

When you get the passport the same day if you apply at passport agency?

I had my appointment at 9 am. If I was willing to come in the following day, I'd have received the passport. I chose to get it shipped and got it in 3 days. Same day is typically for life or death emergencies

So tired of waiting...Applied in june, biometrics in july and radio silence ever since.  Case status online says completion time august 2020 and estimated wait time 6 months.

I live in PHX so the CA service center is handling my application.

Same here. No updates on my case.

Had Oath Ceremony today in Atlanta office. No one collected or asked for  return of Green Card. I had been told they always take the Green Card back after Oath Ceremony. Any comment from who already had Oath Ceremony about returning Green Card?

My wife had a combo (Green Card & Citizenship) interview today at San Jose office. She started the interview with I-797 (Green Card). The interviewer asked so many questions to prove that we are married couple. We had few pictures from our trips together, but she asked for our wedding pictures, which we had on our phone. At end of the interview she said I can't approve your I-797 because we need more evidence showing that you live together, hard copy photos of wedding and family. We had copy of our lease but that show 1 year lease term and she wanted verify that we still residing at the current address. We also provided our medical insurance, 401K account, tax transcripts but I guess it was enough to prove our relationship.

Can i ask you the reason for the expedite processing was it related to the  SSI benefits termination.

It was employment related. A pending federal job that required US citizenship as condition for employment but before I even got a chance to follow through with the docs they requested, I already got the interview schedule notice. Interview is Feb 25 at the Mount Laurel, NJ field office
