My interview is scheduled for Dec 6th, but I received an email this saying we have taken an action on your case. After I logged in to my account, I found out that my interview has been cancelled.

I don't understand what's going on with USCIS, I have cancelled my trip due to the interview and now they cancelled the interview.

I have the interview on Tuesday. The appointment letter says bring your spouse's citizenship certificate. My wife couldn't find the certificate, could I bring her US passport instead?

thank you,

If your wife American citizen by birth, and is written in her passport that her birthplace is in USA, then my guess her passport is adequate proof of citizenship, otherwise if she was naturalized, they probably want to see the original Naturalization certificate.

You can not bring what you don't have....A Passport is primary evidence of US Citizenship.

If you find the Certificate by the time of your interview then perfect, bring both but I'm almost sure it will serve the same purpose. Maybe they mention the Certificate as you are not required to get a Passport.

Did they specifically ask for "Certificate Of Citizenship" or "Certificate Of Naturalization"? Both are different, a Certificate Of Citizenship is given to people who acquired Citizenship through their parents and the other to who went through the Naturalization process.

If you lose your Certificate of Naturalization, you may request a replacement by filing Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document. The fee to file this form is $555.

Paper copy of oath ceremony schedule in Jan arrived. On USCIS site , it still hasn’t shown up (except for status updated as approved and oath scheduled). Wife’s status is also “scheduled oath” but no signs of any online document or paper copy by mail. This is after a week after her interview.

I had my interview last 11/05 and got a recommendation for approval. I am still waiting for oath schedule. This morning, around 7:37, I received a call from an unknown caller and I didn’t pick it up. Tried to check for the phone number but I didn’t see any. She left a voicemail. It was the officer who interviewed me and she said it’s regarding my application but she said, I can’t call her back. She’ll just call me again within the day. I am just curious and scared. Is there anyone here who had experienced same thing? Is this legit? Thank you so much.

I had my interview on November 5 in Honolulu. I was recommended for approval. Up to this time, my status hasn’t change. Still saying, we scheduled your interview. As I was reading some posts, there might be a longer wait time if you requested a name change, which I did in my case. Hopefully, I’ll be receiving my oath schedule soon.

Update on my case. The IO who interviewed me gave me a call today to make sure that I wanted to change my name, from maiden to my married name. I said yes. After that, she said she already approved it. Case status now is saying  that my application was approved and just wait for the letter when oath taking is scheduled. Case completion estimated time is 3 months. I filed on 06/24/19 under 5 year residency rule.

I received the interview cancellation notice today, but It says, "This is to advise you that, as requested, we have canceled the interview."

I did not request this cancellation then why does the letter says as requested we cancelled your interview?

I would appreciate if someone with similar experience could shed some light on it.

Congrats. That must be a relief to at least know you're approved.

Question: Did your name change push out the estimated completion time or is it still within the original estimate from when you filed?

Oh, and which city are you in?

Thank you. You’re right I am so happy when I heard she approved it. Still the same estimated completion time. Btw, my status changed again yesterday. My oath ceremony noticed was mailed and I am just waiting for it to come up on my document tab. I am from Honolulu, HI.
