To start with, as I stated in my posting, no date for the interview was given.  It said : We will mail you an interview notice.
The email came from: USCIS-CaseStatus@uscis.dhs.gov.
Hope that helps.

Interview scheduled for November 13 2019 in Atlanta USCIS office

General question about interview/oath ceremony. Initially Completion Time was May 2020. So I booked oversees trip from mid November to Christmas. Now got a pleasant surprise. Interview scheduled November 13. Assuming interview is successful/passed, can one ask the interviewing officer to have Oath Ceremony scheduled after Christmas? Or the interviewing officer has no say about when Oath Ceremony is scheduled, and scheduling done by others?

I hate to cancel the trip, but may have to if Oath Ceremony date fixed and can not be influenced.

We did. Had a family wedding coming up when we got the letter for our interview. So at the end of the n400 interview the officer asked if we had any question. I bought up that I had a trip coming up in a couple weeks. The officer said they would bump us to the next one after that to make sure we wouldnt have an issue

Oh well...bye bye citizenship for now. Getting a divorce. That's more money down the drain, but definitely more mental health on my way.
Do you guys know if I will upload a divorce decree in my file and don't show up for the interview, if that will be enough for them? will I still be able to apply in two years or more?

Thank you!

Urgh so sorry you have to deal with that.

based on what I have read - you can withdraw your N400 during interview or before by writing a letter to the local USCIS office handling your case. You can reapply under the 5 yr residency rule once you get to your 5 yrs (can do 90 days early as usual)

saw some info here:  https://forums.immigration.com/threads/divorce-pending-while-filing-for-n400.301822/

From which email did you get the notification of the interview? the no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov one? And how far off did they schedule your interview?
