Same. Mine went from Feb 2020 to May 2020. I live in cali too.

From what I have seen in the timelines for California on this site, the average wait from filing to interview is 6 months or longer.

Same here. I live in AZ and filed around the same time and also did biometrics fairly quickly. Completion time on the website went from June 2020 to September 2020. I'm not too worried though,  it happens...

It's really disheartening, after waiting five years, to wait all this time, and not even be sure it won't be pushed back again.

I wonder if anyone knows if one of us had to travel and stay out of the country for a few months now, if this would affect his naturalization?

It is frustrating and I think we all keep checking on our case files hoping to find an update.  It also seems unfair that some people complete the process in 4 months and some wait way over a year.  But it is what it is and I will be happy as long as I get to vote in the next election.

It is extremely frustrating. I also find the five-year rule for the work-based immigration shockingly unfair for someone who struggled to be here, to be penalized for this, in comparison to the much easier route of marriage. Now I can only hope they don't keep pushing back the completion date.

I understand the frustration but I respectfully disagree about it being unfair regarding the duration it takes for GC via marriage V employment. A US citizen is applying for the AOS, not the applicant, so obviously they need to/ will get priority. It’s the same in most countries.

If this was built on a fair and logical system and an immigration law that considers real priority, I would get priority in my naturalization process, as my work-based green card was through an EB-1, where I went through an incredibly rigorous evaluation to prove that I am an "alien of extraordinary ability". But I'm getting no priority in naturalization whatsoever, so it has nothing to do with logic or fairness or rewarding those that same law considers bring exceptional value to the country. It's just a mostly random system. Anyway, I'm done venting and thanks for your reply.

I understand that the system is broken. I was merely saying that you’re comparing two different pathways. One is through family and other through employment. It’s not fair to compare the two. The requirements are completely different. It’s apples and oranges. That was my point. I do hope that your case proceeds smoothly and you get updates really soon! It’s is frustrating and I’m in the same waiting game. Good luck!

Good luck to you, too! I'll sure update you all if and when anything develops!

I wish but highly doubt it will happen that fast. I will keep you posted.

My interview was in the afternoon and status changed to "you attended your interview" and "we approved your application" early next morning. Nothing since then.

How long after your interview did you see the "oath scheduled" message ? and which location is your oath ?

MY status changed after 10 mins of my interview and the letter showed in my document tab after 2 days.. my location of oath is in Lafayette in Detroit..

I was antsy when my status changed to "oath ceremony scheduled" I was soooo excited to know my date lol!

good luck to you..

Yours came through real fast as you are on the East side. I am in West Michigan by Grand Haven.

My status still shows "We placed you in line for Oath" from Sep 25th. I am guessing, it's either because they do not have a venue yet or are waiting for a certain number of applicants before they can schedule it.

All the very best to you and Congrats in Advance. Will post my update as it becomes available :)

I just saw an update with my case status today saying they’ve scheduled my interview. I am waiting to be able to see it on my tab. I am kinda surprise because yesterday, when I log in to my account it still saying 5 months completion time (February 2020). I filed my case last 06/24/2019 and had my biometrics done on 07/18/2018. I am from Hawaii under five year rule residency.

Update. Interview is scheduled on November 5 at 11:00 am.
