We went in for my wife's biometretrics today, a couple of days earlier than the appointment. They let us in without a hassle, which was appreciated. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes. Her biometrics have been updated in her online account and the estimated case approval time has changed from September 2020 to June 2020.

That’s great news! My estimated completion time didn’t change. On the plus side, at least it didn’t get longer 😁

Success :D

Took the afternoon off work accepting that I may need to wait so they can attend to those with appointments scheduled for the day.

It was super quiet - the officer who usually guards the door was not there and they took me right in. From parking to getting back in the car and leaving the office was less than 15 minutes and the staff were really lovely.  Thumbs up for Orlando office today. I left them all smiley faces on their feedback card.

Great news! What time did you go?

Arrived at 12:26 pm and was back in the car at 12:37 pm.

Really can't say a bad word about the office.  Ironically, when we went at our scheduled time a few years ago, we were there for well over an hour.

I think all the average wait times are so skewed, it's impossible to really tell.  Applications that go in with an I-751 still pending do take longer, as do those who file in the 90 day window.  The case count and processing times don't separate those from the 'straightforward' cases.

Heading out to attempt a biometrics walk-in later today. It will only make a difference of about 10 days, but more importantly, for the sake of my own sanity, I won't be subjected to the horrible road there in rush hour traffic on a Friday morning next week so here's hoping the officer at the entrance is in a good mood and likes my smile 😂

I agree that the average wait times are skewed and are a rough estimates at best. I am, however, curious as to what data you have to support the statement that "I-751 still pending do take longer, as do those who file in the 90 day window" . I don't think that's necessarily the case. Processing times are mainly depending on the respective office that handles the case, number of applicants and backlogs at each location. A combo interview could actually expedite the process for a pending I-751 if a more efficient field office takes over from the main service centers.

Edit: Updated to "We have reviewed your biometrics" on the new site and "Your case is actively being reviewed by USCIS" on the old one. Estimated time hasn't changed (it did change from 13 to 11 months shortly after my biometrics appointment was scheduled)

Have there actually been a lot of RFE's during the naturalization process? Or do they usually ask to bring additional/missing evidence to the interview?

Hello Everyone

I had my biometrics done on the 28th and besides the updates about the fingerprints I don't have anything else and I am  obsessively checking my case every day😆😆

Does anyone know how long approx it takes to receive updates after biometrics?

Wow, that's a nice speedy completion estimate!  I guess not that many people moving to the US land up in Anchorage. I'm headed out there in a couple of weeks. Save some sunshine for me!

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic - at least not rudely so :) I was referring to the recent hot spell you guys had. I'm really looking forward to the trip. First time to Anchorage and I was careful to pick August, not February lol

I live in Alaska, maybe thats why my process is faster than some of the other states. (OR maybe because I am a military spouse.)

Since English is not my first language, I have a lot to study for the test.

Wish me luck! :)
