I just completed my biometrics.

 

The representative shared the co-relation between the 'Code' (available on biomentrics appointment letter) and how many fingerprints are taken at the ASC. I am not sure if this information is already posted here or not, but here it is.

 

Code = 2: 1 finger on right hand

Code = 3: All fingers on both hands

Code = 5: 4 fingers on right hand

I'm the same. I mean, no problem, I wouldn't mind skipping the biometrics. But why do they take a biometrics fee from everyone if not everyone is required to do one? It would be nice to be able to see my status. I will check out the myuscis page, though I'm pretty sure I tried it a month ago.

Okay, so I got my letter of extension almost 2 weeks back. I cannot check the status and I know there's issues with it, but I can't see anything on My Account either when I log in, maybe I'm not checking the right thing. I've just went with the idea of no biometrics, which I am obviously okay with.

 

Can someone let me know where they check their case on their account, so I can make sure I'm in the right place...

On your USCIS Account (https://myaccount.uscis.gov/),

 

You need to add your case manually. You can click on 'My Account' at the top right corner and then click on 'Add a paper-filed case' and enter your USCIS case number.

I have not received biometric yet either . and can not look up status online either and filed on June 12th.

I tried to add my case (Receipt number) it doesn't recognize it. Is it because I received the receipt (18 month extension) just yesterday and I should wait a week to add the case number?

could be the reason. I wasn't able to add my case for a couple of days either, but that was after I received the text. I was able to track my case before I received NOA in mail.

My Biometrics was completed on July 22, 2019 and my status also changed on myUscis portal on July 24, 2019. https://myaccount.uscis.gov/

My status on https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/displayLogon.do is still the same. "We received your case"

just made an account and added the case. It says case was received. No Biometric appointment yet. I was previously trying to add my case number/ receipt number to the account that I had for Adjustment of status (also from USCIS) but I guess for GC and further down the road (N400) we will be using this account. Thank you for sharing @Tanish

You are welcome. BTW, it doesn't change status when they send you biometeics appointment letter. After your biometeics appointment is over, it changes status that they have reviewed your biometeics and processing your case now or some other status if there is an issue with biometeics.

After I get my Biometrics notice, can I just walk in to an ACS office and get my fingerprints done? Or do I have to make an appointment for the exact said date and then go?

It really depends on the ACS center. Some centers take walk-ins and others don't. I personally didn't go earlier than the appointed date. Some have gone and done walk-ins and some were denied walk-in requests.

@missileman, can we add a new column between Column P (Interview Date) and Column Q (Approval) to see if the petition was approved or rejected? And then rename current Column Q (Approval) to read 'Aprroval/Denial Date'?

Gosh I forgot how stressful this waiting game is...We received our extension letter on 6/3 but no biometrics appointment yet. Our receipt number starts with SRC. Anyone else in the same boat? It appears everyone else is receiving biometric appointment really soon so wondering what is taking ours so long.
