My package delivered on 7/2. Have not heard back anything since then probably the holidays. Hoping to hear something back on this or next week.

I just realized that my lawyer filed my forms at the wrong office. My package was mailed and received directly at my local office on June 14th. On the uscis website it looks like it should have been sent to Dallas TX. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't received a receipt notice nor was the check cashed. I'm freaking out. What should I do?

Sue your lawyer.....

 

You shouldn't have to do anything if you're paying him to take care of it. But, I would probably call and see if they can locate your case. If they have no record of it, I would cancel that check and mail a new case to the correct center.

Wow what kind of lawyer is that? Maybe they send the package back to you.

So I'm here now and I had review the file with me and give me copies of everything and while he was doing that he found my personal check I wrote for the application fees. So he never even send the payment. They redoing the entire file and shipping it overnight express today. I'm so fed up and cannot believe this

What's wrong with USCIS?

 

Package received on 6/28

Check cashed on 7/5

 

I waited all day on friday for the texts....it never arrived.

I had a hunch to go and check the mailbox. Lo and behold, my extension letter was there waiting for me.

Still, no text from USCIS. My receipt number says YSCXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

I tried to track it via USCIS app and it says invalid receipt number.

 

Am I living in a parallel universe?

My receipt number was apparently "invalid" at first too. Wait a few days and try again. Don't worry!!

 

Not sure why you weren't notified by text, though.

Thanks for heads up.

 

I must have checked my messages app more than a million times since the check was cashed.

It's bizarre I haven't received any text since. The letter itself was a relief though - it says if there's any need for me to do biometrics, i will get a separate letter.

 

I think I can breathe easy now.

I apologize for jumping the gun. Please verify that you applied at appropriate DropBox. Did you use a priority mail or a courier service?

 

Also, you can call USCIS number and find out the status.

I sent via the Fedex to the address mentioned. I did receive "Delivered' Notification from the FedEx. I am wondering why is it taking so many days for the Notification or the cheque to be cashed? I used to live in Iowa and moved to Florida 7 months ago. My I485 interview was in Iowa, I wonder if that has anything to do with the delay. WYT?

I don't think that would be an issue. Call USCIS tomorrow and talk to them. They will give you all you need to know. There is no other way as of now.

Is there a specific number that would get me in touch a Tier 1 officer quicker than going round and round ? I appreciate your help
