I-751 June 2019 Filers

Hi Everyone!

 

I can send my application starting from Sunday and have everything ready to go - I have an organizational question though - how did you guys organize the papers? Paperclips? Something else? I know staples aren't good, but if I don't use anything, it will be a mess and there's no distinguishing what applies to what. Any help is appreciated!

Yes use paperclip, in the event of you sending them 12 years bank statement and 2 pages of each month, I guess it’d be good idea to staple every 2 pages  a month then clip them all ( uscis recommend not to use heavy duty staple)

I just received my I-797 (NOA) in mail. There are two dates on there.

 

1. Received Date: 06/19/2019

2. Notice Date: 06/24/2019

 

Which of these is considered my NOA Date? [I believe it is #1, but I still want to be sure]

I just received my noa as well! I think the notice date, date number 2, would actually be the noa. But I'm not sure. Now, how do I know which center it went to. I mailed it to Arizona, but that's not a center to check wait times.

What are the first three letters of your receipt number?

YSC, but yeah, it won't let me check case status online.

Also, what happens if their processing time takes longer than 18 months? I looked at all the different centers, and it could be as long as 3 yrs!!!!! What can we be preparing for so that his work life isn't interrupted.

Before then end of the 18 month extension, you can go to a local USCIS office to get a 1 year stamp in your passport.

That's Potomac Service Center. Try creating an account on USCIS and check from there. Alternatively, you can also check your receipt number using USCIS Case Tracker App

Thank you both for your answers! By local office, do they mean the place where he got his biometrics done the first time? It was less than an hour away. 

 

Tanish, how do you know it's Potomac. I do have an account, but it's not recognizing it. I may just give it a few days then try checking it.

your NOA Date is the Notice Date (#2)

I got my NOA1 receipt letter, in the same letter, it says your conditional residence extended to 18 months ...... am I gonna get another extension letter ?
