This seems to be similar, I don't like starting new threads. Do we write a bunch of N/A and NONE on this form or can we leave it blank? The form itself wont even let me type in / to begin with. Anyone have any problems? Thanks

I think it doesn't matter long as you answer everything pertaining to you.

so write in NA and skip the /.

I filled everything and then opened it in chrome and used the print dialog box to save as PDF, this got rid of any PDF features the original form had and I only printed the page that needs signature and insterted it back into the PDF

This happened to me as well. I initially uploaded my i864 in October, it was rejected in December, I printed and scanned the documents so they're non-editable on December 13th. Anyone know how long you can expect it to take for them to approve the documents once you reupload? We're getting a little antsy over here. :(

Also when you reupload, did you delete the original document entirely and then reupload the new document in place of it? Or did you leave the original document and then upload the new one as a supplemental document. (I did the former and I'm now second guessing myself about whether that was the correct thing to do.)

Do we have to wait for the RFE? I think I made a mistake in the I-864 by not crossing item 22. I see that CEAC doesn't have an erase button so I'm not sure if it will let me reupload it (even if that means restarting the clock) or if I just have to live with it and wait for the RFE  in early April.

yes, I would like to know

my original i864 got rejected because it was filled out and submitted right from the original form

so now I've re-scanned it and sent it in (it's still in PDF form) but not locked and/or editable as the first one was...

will I be good to go now ? (even though it's still in .pdf form technically) ?

Did you submit the pdf you just filled out? That is no good, it needs to be printed, signed, scanned and uploaded. That would explain the "not editable" remark...

Hi

since Im also confused about the same thing so asking it in the same thread ... it says form shouldn't be electronically signed. Does it mean that it can still be sign lets say through adobe fill and sign option where you create the hand written sign but is done on screen ? So then one can scan the document directly by skipping the printout step.

What you are describing to do is signing electronically.    Print the page, sign and date by hand.
