Hi All, we have been waiting since May 3rd when Neb. Recieved the I-129F. Its the 30th and the USCIS say to give them 2 more weeks then they have a way to help track the Petition. They didnt cash the check yet either. What can we do? Any Ideas

Same here, Mailed May 3 they told me today wait 2 more weeks, she told me because of the volume of applications due to fee increase it will be delayed

we have a similar situation, only our check was cashed at the beginning of april. we got our first NOA on March 30 from Nebraska and have been anxiously awaiting the 2nd NOA. I finally got to speak to someone today who told us that our case had been moved to the California Service Center, and they are currently processing applications from November 2006!!

From what she said, it sounds like we have another 3 months until we even get our NOA2. I hope they don't move your case to California too.

Now we're just trying to figure out what next? Is there a way we can cancel the whole thing, bring him here, and just get married?

Relax guys, this process does take time.

Just be happy that the implementation of IMBRA did not affect you, like so many others last year.

We waited 5 months for the NOA-2, along with thousands of others, some members on this board.

As it stands now, 30 days for the NOA-1 is normal, though some get it sooner. 60-90 days is normal for the NOA-2.

You will get your NOA's in soon, be a bit patient.

We are thinking on doing the same since we send all the paperwork on April 24th and we do not get any news, so if you find out anything about the cancellation of the process we will appreciated if you share it with us. Me concern is if it would be possible to use the tourist visa witch is suppose to be good up to 2009 but after the application we have doubts.

The K1 applications are automatically forwarded to the CSC - NSC and TSC haven't been processing K1 apps for quite some time. CSC's response to their working on "November 2006" petitions is their standard response - it means that they're working on the oldest petitions right now. It does not mean that they're not working on later petitions either - usually the oldest petitions are the ones that have hiccuped in the system with calls for more evidence, wrong forms, that sort of thing.

Usually around this time every year CSC and VSC are hit with a ghastly amount of H1B processing, which means that both NOA1s and NOA2s are delayed. So if you're wondering "gee where is that pretty piece of paper for me?!" then it's probably stuck among stacks and stacks of others waiting to be mailed out.

Please, please, please don't cancel your application just because it's been a month. There are a significant number of couples here on VJ who can vouch for the length of time these petitions can take. Unfortunately there isn't a speedier legal way to do this. My understanding is that if you use a tourist visa with the intent to marry and stay in the United States, it will be considered visa fraud, and the non-USC will be deported back to their home county without being able to come back for a significant amount of time.

Thank you Nini & Bee. I sort of panicked and did not do enough homework before i posted that last night. We are late March applicants and it seems tons of people are being transferred to CSC so i guess we have to relax and be patient.

One question though... It doesn't look like our file has been touched since April 6. Is that common?

Yeah no need to worry,I have not been touched yet either (got NOA1 3 April),some people get touched some dont at all.No need to worry.

We didn't get touched either during the entire waiting... just after the NOA2, perhaps when they forwarded our case to NVC.

Glad I could help out! :D To add, I know I also didn't receive any touches at USCIS either prior to my NOA2.

Very true! I know it's frustrating when you see others get their NOA1's in 10 days, but for Nebraska filers it has been taking 30 days since mid April

Be patient :) you'll get it soon.
