Some B2 visas don't expire for 5 years.......that doesn't mean a person can stay in the US for 5 years.......as @payxibka said, the I-94 date is all that matters.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That always makes me laugh when I hear that. That's because some people do believe that and have come on here saying as much.

What make you laugh cyberfx

Some people have come on in here in the past asking questions about a multiple entry tourist visa that has a validity of say 5 years. So people think that they can stay here in the USA with their SO for years under that tourist visa because they think that the expiration date on the tourist visa is when they have to leave.
