Like Scandi said, I think you misunderstood the difference between the meanings of the two case statuses:

 

Anyone, going through any LFO, can expect to have an interview shortly after the "interview letter has been sent" status appears.  The length of time between "interview is ready to be scheduled" varies hugely, from 1-24 months depending on geographic location.  

 

It is helpful to clarify those differences, especially for newbies who may be expecting something that doesn't happen.

Honestly, it seems like some people start complaining as soon as one non-expedited person with a NOA1 within their month has a NOA2 and they do not. Doesn't seem to matter how long the waiting time is.

right? i learned a long time ago that it comes ... when it comes. we are trying to expedite the EAD since he has a job offer and personal financial loss applies. but even that .... it comes when it comes. weve done what we are supposed to and all we can.

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

 

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

 

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....
