Hello,

This is my story thus far. I met my fiance in the US. He was "caught" and he left voluntarily. I filed my I129F petion was approved. My fiance went to CDJ (Ciudad Juarez, Mexico) was told to complete a 601 and for me to write a letter saying why I needed him with me. I wrote my letter. He went back to CDJ with the completed 601 and my letter. He was told that he had a "lack of suffient "extreme hardship" evidence". We have 30 days to submit additional evidence.

I am so confused. I am an indendent woman who has fallen in love and want my fiance to come to the USA to marry and live with me. What is the extreme hardship that I have to provide as a fiance?

(my original letter sent with the 601 stated me that I love him sooo much that I need him here with me. HA! ........CDJ did not provide my fiance the 601 letter explaining what to do. They gave it to him AFTER his 601 was reviewed. So now I have to provide that extreme hardship letter within 30 days which I don't know what to say.)

Do we still have a chance? And if he is still denied, what should we do? Marry in Mexico then apply for another petition?

Can someone give ideas to the extreme hardship letter? or if they have similar stories and they have suceeded? Thanks.

Don't marry in Mexico. Submit a new hardship letter with evidence within the 30 days. Follow Jessipooh's advice and read everything on immigrate2us.net in the 601 forum as well as the information page on the CDJ website here -

http://ciudadjuarez.usconsulate.gov/wwwhcishardship.html

and attorney Laurel Scott's 601 guidance memo here: http://www.visacentral.net/I601Memo.pdf

You're going to have to work hard and fast but if you follow the guidelines you have a good chance at success. Good luck.

Thank you JessiPooh! I guess for me and fiance, there were so many highs in our process, now the extreme hardship letter is a definite low. But I am forging ahead and will not give up!
