File form I-90 for replacement of green card. In your case, there is no fee.

Thank you. But i am sure that my lawyer will take a lot of money again. I guess he is the one who made it hard. Probably he created my hard way to CG??!!!

If you gain permanent residence based on marriage, and it has been more than 2 years since the wedding at the time of approval, the green card must be the 10 years one. Doesn't matter when you entered or when you filed.

I understand that...........I didn't say anything about entry date or filing date...........I said it depends on APPROVAL date.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Of course it depends on the length of your marriage  AT THE TIME OF GC APPROVAL.

Still, she's been married for over two years at the time of approval. First AOS was denied, so they don't have any date related to that case as there was no approval in the first place. They didn't approve retroactively.

Don't use a lawyer. File it yourself.

Agree......I was speculating based on the fact that there were multiple interviews.......but it's obviously a mistake by USCIS.   I agree that it SHOULD have been a 10 year card.

I think so too. I think that he plays games with us from the beginning. We paid him a lot for every step! We are his eternal customers.

My attorney cost us at least 3 months delay in my wife's Green Card.....Sounds like your attorney caused far more damage.........I hope you get this sorted out quickly..

Yep! My first denial was because of him! He did not even informed me it's by the law that the doctor must give me my medical exam's copy! and then he filed the motion to reopen (so we paid again!), but that time we did not know that the motion to reopen won't help!

Looks like that immigration shyster will milk you for all that he can get because he thinks he knows more about immigration than you do. Time to educate yourself and stop being taken for granted.

Now, regarding your incorrect green card, file form i90 to Replace green card and include copy of marriage cert as evidence that you have been married for more than the 3 years. Please safeguard yourself and scan/copy the front and back of your green card before you send it back to them for correction.

I’ve seen more cases where a lawyer caused additional problems/delays or mistakes in the process than cases where people were delighted with their lawyers. And also very few cases where DIYers caused themselves delays. The only thing some lawyers seem to be good at is taking money.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!
