AOS & EAD June 2007 Filers

Hello June filer Family! It's been so long since I've actually had a chance to be on this website, but alot has changed since I received my passport stamp back on August 28, 2007. You see I have been practicing to drive since I now officially have a driving permit!!! On top of that, I am even going on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the Bahamas with my hubby this weekend. I also got my official GC in the mail a couple of weeks ago and I started my fall semester of college. I'm glad to see that everyone here is getting their approvals. I'll be checking back here periodically. Thanks again for being such a great support system guys!! B)

Last month i was touched 4 times in two weeks.

Then i received my AP, EAD which are processed at another service centre not CSC, but no further action on my AOS, you here about people waiting for ages and have to renew there EAD cos no further action has been taken.

If they think that because i now have my AP and EAD that they can through me back to the bottom of the pile and catch up on other AOS's they are mistaken.

I will give it till every june filer has received there AOS etc then i will find someone to look into it, congress man ..lawyer etc , yeah im P***ed cos i see others after i filed have got the OK.... good luck to them, im happy for them, i just hate to be taken for a mug

I only wish I had this workpermit that you have. It allows you to get everything that I really need now.

SSN, drivers license and a job.

I am so unlucky that my GC is my first possibility since my workpermit has been f..... up from the beginning with mistakes.

I handed over documents with both our names (PG&E statement, bank account, credit card, notarized statements from 2 friends, apartment lease). He took them without even looking at them and shoved them into our file he had on his desk.

Then he said, “I'm APPROVING YOUR CASE, the green card will come in the mail within 2 weeks.”

Then he told us how this is conditional and 90 days before it expires we need to renew it blah blah…

And that’s it! Ten minutes of EASE! WHOO HOO! (Hubby answered all questions himself and even I did not have to translate! Way to go honey!! )

We started our visa journey nearly a year ago and what a RELIEF – no more paperwork!!

Thanks all for the good wishes and prayers, it all helped sooo much!

Hi, we will have the interview soon 10/29. I saw you said that "notarized statements from 2 friends". Is it really necessary to have this in the evidences?

Do we have a proper guideline on what to have before the interview? Can someone post a guideline for this? Thanx in advance!!!

Walang ano man, i will update it til everyone in our list received their GC, i just hope everybody will cooperate on posting update with their timeline on this thread coz i got no time to check one by one at the vj timeline (peace)

i make sure everybody's update for the day will be included so i do it at the end of the day.

As for me, Washington DC is so slow. They are processing files from December 2006. Here's to some prayer and quick turn around. Now, I need to use my EAD to get a job!

Lisa and Spence, congrats on the EAD and AP, and really hope you get the AOS approval soon. Often the AOS is approved weeks after the other two, so don't give up hope yet!

CK & Tydi, I used the interview letter that USCIS sent, as my guide for the interview. They list all the things that we should bring to the interview. I also brought a copy of the AOS packet I sent, along with originals. Most important though is the evidence of valid relationship, like utilities statements, bank accounts, credit cards, lease/home ownership etc. Notarized statements from friends can be included but are not really on the "absolutely necessary" list. And don't forget the certified marriage certificate, often they ask to see the original & copy at the interview. Good luck at your interview!
