Hello guys,

I'm so excited for my interview on Nov. 26 but I just received today a notice of cancellation for my interview this is says:

This is to advice you that due to unforeseen circumstances , we have to canceled the previously scheduled interview on Monday, Nov, 26 at 7am for the above applicant . We regret any convenience this is may cause. You will be notified of any further action taken on this case , including any scheduled interview information, under separate notice.

do you have any idea for this message . Thanks you for your help. :help:

can't remember who it was, but someone on VJ received a notice like yours. They did not receive another notice for a new interview. They did receive a denial notice, because they failed to go to their interview. They recommended going to the "cancelled" interview anyway. Unless you actually receive a new interview date, or maybe receive notice that your case has been transferred to CSC. If you don't hear anything in the next few weeks, you might try an Infopass appointment to find out what you should do.

Yes, definitely go to the interview anyway. If they turn you down and tell you that your interview was really cancelled, then it was. But there have been a lot of cases on here where people didn't go to their cancelled interview and their case was denied!

So we're supposed to go to this interview that's most likely going to result in being told it was canceled? Excuse my language but that's absolute freaking #######. I was downsized by my former employer a few months back and I'm only 7 weeks into a new job. I can't afford to be taking time off work to attend an interview that's likely result is, 'your interview was canceled - go back home and wait to hear from us'. Maybe I should have just gone on unemployment instead? That way I would have plenty of time to wait around until the next time they dangle a carrot in front of us.

I'm not saying that I agree with the way they do things. But I've read about more people have NOT gone to their cancelled interviews and then been told that they're denied than I've read about people who have gone and been told that it's really cancelled. I even remember reading about a VJer who moved from CA to NY... they filed their change of address, called to confirm their change of address... an interview notice was sent to their CA address and, because they didn't show up in CA, they were denied. How stupid is that?

Congrats Healther & Justice on the interview date!

Lina and Rob, I know it is totally unfair and senseless, but I also remember reports of people going to a canceled interview and being interviewed anyway. And of obediently NOT going to the canceled interview, and being denied due to lack of appearing. So if you don't get another notice, definitely go anyway. I know it is very awkward because of you new job, but this is a VERY important event, and they gotta understand!

You're as consistant as the moon; a nice update at the end of every day. Salamat pa rin, even though you already have your greencard. It's nice to have the support for people still waiting.

As for me, Washington DC is so slow. They are processing files from December 2006. Here's to some prayer and quick turn around. Now, I need to use my EAD to get a job!

My Local Office, Omaha NE isnt slow, says 6 months for them, i hope they get off their backside's soon.

Last month i was touched 4 times in two weeks.

Then i received my AP, EAD which are processed at another service centre not CSC, but no further action on my AOS, you here about people waiting for ages and have to renew there EAD cos no further action has been taken.

If they think that because i now have my AP and EAD that they can through me back to the bottom of the pile and catch up on other AOS's they are mistaken.

I will give it till every june filer has received there AOS etc then i will find someone to look into it, congress man ..lawyer etc , yeah im P***ed cos i see others after i filed have got the OK.... good luck to them, im happy for them, i just hate to be taken for a mug

Anyway rant over....time will tell
