AOS & EAD June 2007 Filers

Hi Steve & Ana,

Yeah, many thanks dealing with all our updates we all certainly appreciate it. As for our first NOA and all, today is one week after Chicago received our package with nothing in sight. How would we know precisely when they got our package, and how does one know an NOA has been issued?

My undertanding is that if you mailed it by express mail you can check it at the usps website if they got it and for the NOA, you have to wait coz for it you can't check your status at the uscis website without it coz your case # is on the NOA... hope it helps.

Maybe a little late for this info, but it could help others in the future. I mailed my package Express Mail at he U.S. Post Office. I also sent it Registered Mail........this means that someone will actually have to sign for it to receive the package and then a receipt will be sent back to your mailing address confirming that it has been accepted. If you send Express Mail with tracking you can go to the USPS website and enter your tracking # and follow the package. You can even enter info on the website to have emails sent to you as the package travels along and gets delivered. I think the total price for a K-1 and K-2 applications to be sent was around $14. Pretty cheap for the peace of mind of knowing what is going on with your application.

Chuck D. Thanks for the advice for future filers who happen to chance your post. We, personally used FedEx for our AOS. Saw the signature received the next day from Chi-town but checks still uncashed. We spent a whopping $32 for our overnight delivery.

Ana: My grandfather lived in Sarangani province, but I am from Manila. I used to go to the south for our summer vacations.

We got our NOA letter yesterday for our AOS and EAD !

Both were dated June 15, 2007

No Biometrics letter yet.

our checks haven't cashed yet. hopefully Monday or Tuesday. never thought I'd look forward to seeing checking account balance go down.

You're right about that. ..my checks were cashed today .I can't believe I'll be very happy to see my account balance go down today. I'm hoping to receive my NOA's pretty soon!

that's good news. for us, still waiting for the checks to cash. checking online 3 to 4 times a day to see if their cashed yet. hoping nothing is wrong with our applications.

I am mailing my AOS, EAD, and AP via DHL today all to Chicago office, so now I am also a June filer.

we're in the same boat as you, waiting for the checks to cash. our applications arrived June 11th. guess I'm being impatient since seems like most receive their NOA in a week or less.

Our AOS & EAD were both touched yesterday. I'll be watching my mailbox again and hoping I'll get our Biometrics letter in a week or two..
