AOS & EAD June 2007 Filers

I just had my biometrics yesterday here in Tampa, FL. I received the notice like a month ago...and when i got home...i got a new letter from USCIS for my biometrics schedule on September 9, 2007 on the same place i went to. I should probably call USCIS and tell them i already did my bimetrics. It did'nt say my interview..it say biometrics. Does anybody had any idea why this thing is happening??

Owh yeah that's right..the one that i went to last Saturday was for my AOS..and this coming Spetember 9 was for my EAD I just realized that. I didnt know there should be two biometrics. Thank you for your help

sometimes they are scheduled together, sometimes separate. unfortunately the letter for the 2nd Biometrics didn't arrive before your first appointment, otherwise you probably could have brought both letters and done them at the same time. hopefully you'll receive your AOS approval soon and will not need the EAD

Hi, all. I have a question for the veterans/those who know all concerning all things AOS.

In our case --- and I suspect many others, soon --- we were approved for AOS, AP and EAD, all at relatively the same time. The green card and work card have been ordered, and the AP letter is on the way.

The question: Doesn't the Green Card do everything that the EAD card and AP letter do? That is, why do we need the EAD card and AP letter, if the Green Card allows one to get work and re-entry to USA?

Yap, the green card gives you authorization to work and reenter the USA from abroad. when green card is in hand, the others are not needed.

Basically, the point of applying for EAD and AP as well is that it might take a long time to get your greencard, and at least with EAD/AP you can work and travel while you wait. Some people are caught in namechecks for like 2 years. Some people get their greencard before their EAD/AP even get a touch. It's a gamble, really.
