On August 15, 2007, we determined that this I765 APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION was not properly filed, rejected it, and mailed it back to you with all supporting materials along with a notice describing the reasons the case was rejected. The notice will also describe what will need to be done to properly submit the case.

It should say in the letter when you receive it, but they return the paperwork usualy if they don't get paid, maybe the check bounced or you included the wrong amount. Let us know what it is when you get the hard copy back. And don't forget to reapply.

Today, after my file was sent to CSC on 10th August, i got an update that: This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred.

Does anyone know how long (approx) it takes to get the GC once this notification is received from CSC?

The reason i ask is, I'm having terrible problems with my AP, (they have my alien number incorrect and its delaying the application despite service requests etc) and I arranged an infopass apt for Monday to help speed it up as I NEED to travel back home for a visit in November (its the only time I can go for the next 9 months )

Should i just wait for the AOS, or go ahead with the Infopass for my AP just in case the AOS takes forever too?? Grrrr

I personally would go ahead with the Infopass for AP. There's general processing times, but with AOS you just never know. Hopefully nothing will happen and you'll get your GC before your AP is even straightened out but there's always the possibility of them losing something and sending you a RFE saying you never sent it, or getting caught up in name checks, or whatever.

We just received the email from USCIS stating that the EAD card production has been ordered. Hooray!

So after several false starts, it's finally taken care of. Now all that's left is the AOS interview...
